I think this would be best used at the movie rental store.
LC: I need an outside opinion. My brother invited a girl over to watch a movie with him but cant decide if he should get a chic flic, action, or comedy. What do you think?
Just thought that one up. I think it could be a great opener with some modifications. Like I said just a brain storm.
I shall contribute with an opinion opener that i will make up right....now.
PUA: Tell me, CROCS? Lame/Amazing?
(can even add.. but what about Crocs and Socks?)
Hmm lets just throw another in there off the top of my head:
PUA: Humor me (use at own risk lol), i need to know if i should go with Facebook or Myspace, my friend keeps telling me to join one, she says its the shit?

Quite important for opinion openers is that they get questioned unless you contextualise it. I.e. Just as u open pretend to turn off your phone and say that your friend and you just had an arguement about..
I like your distraction opener but it almost sounds to much like a line. Very funny though. Have you had any experience with it? What were the results? What are you referring to with Crocs? IF you open with crocs how do you plan on rooting it? I also agree with the phone, its always a great wing. lol

Sorry lol no, Like i said i just made it up. Yeah it might be too Line like, but then just reframe it with somthing more serious a better opener or somthing i duno. Its kinda based off the Dating for dummies opener (the one where u take the D4D book and hold the big yellow and black fuck off book to her face and say "So..do you come here often" in a super player voice. Then she laughs and u say "This shit works!!" then etc..)
I just thought of a way to turn that opener around. Be like:
"haha ok that was lame, i wanted to test my new skills in mind manipulation that ive been looking at! Here ill show you!"
Calibrate ESP to this story line from then on.
As for crocs! Omg u dont know what they are (if u dont likelyness where ever u live doesnt either)...ok well heres what they are. U might have seen them around just not know what they were.

HAHAHA LOL thats AWESOME!!! I use the "So you come here often" in the most retarded places to get a laugh out of a crowd. Elevators are a great place for that one. Any place where you have a group of people who are not normally going to speaking to one another. Its so obviously lame its funny.
1 that i used to regularly use is walk over to the girl, take a piece of ice out of your cup, drop it to the floor and stamp on it, then with a cheesy smile follow up with "now iv broke the ice...could i have your opinion on something......" or when i first started it just used to be "now iv broke the ice, whats your name" bt that mademy intentions to clear, so i changed to the asking for an opinion shortly after

some people have aracnaphobia cause a spider bit them when they were young...

It was many moons ago now. These colourful shoes began appearing on racks in the various stores I frequented.
I laughed at these ugly pieces of footwear for they disgusted me. 'Who could wear these?' I asked.
My question would soon be answered. The streets seemed to be awash with the pitter patter of rubber on asphalt.
Eventually I was asked 'Giac why don't you have a pair of crocs?'
I snapped. I could not believe these ridiculous pieces of footwear (they are not shoes. Do not call them that) were being embraced by the wider community. I retreated to my home and stayed there for many hours before re-emerging...

Every pair of crocs should be melted, and then the remains should be forced down the inventors throat. I share Giac's feelings with pure hate and rage.
I am definately on Giacomo's side... Those things remind me of Swiss cheese...
On the note of opening with the CROCS... I am not sure I would do it since many of us have no idea they were called that (like myself) and that would just be awkward to have to explain your opener to a girl.
