I have VERY little expereince in telling stories, so I dont have any idea how to make it interesting.

Occasionally, I have those moments where I can paint the picture, but a lot of times I freak out and even up being too direct with the process... mainly because I'm trying to tell a story that hasn't been naturalized yet.

My question is, what is happening when a person presents an interesting story? And what kind of stories should I tell when it comes to pickup? Examples would be greatly appreciated.

you need to be telling stories that demonstrate high value and tell the stroy slwoly dont rush like you think she is going to leave and you want to rush and get everything in make eye contact while your telling stories is a good time to get some samll kino in touching her shoulder and arm .

Yea any story can be terrible or great depending soley on presentation.

Heres some tips
1. Practice your story ahead of time. By knowing your story in and out you can put the inflection on the best parts
2. Use the power of a pause. You do not have to be talking every second during your story sometimes a short pause with facial expressions can be priceless.
3. Get the people involved. Use your hands and kino when possible.

Just some ideas off the top of my head. Hope they helped.

keep it simple. dont go on describing every little aspect of what happened. crack down on the key points and only use an appropriate amount of description. let them paint the picture in their own heads. i try to refrain from a lot of exaggerating, but if used properly and not excessivly it can make the story a lot funnier.

i used to have the same problem when i was younger. i would try to project the concept in my head exactly into theirs which took too long and people got bored. telling a story to me is kind of like telling a joke now that i think of it. it has to have a good punchline to it if youve built it up to be so great, otherwise you shouldnt tell it, and you just leave the people hanging thinking "thats it?"

good luck!

Be dynamic, lower you voice when appropriate, speed up when there is action in your story, use your body to show action. In the most important parts of your story, STRESS, EVERY, WORD, and remain calm. Let the HB give little comments like (oh, wow, thts insane) without actually waiting for them. And, always have a punchline so that the story just dont trail off into the void.

Love
