I first got into the whole game about 5 years ago when I was in Blockbuster and randomly saw this video called "The Tao of Steve." I had no idea what it was about and me and my friend just took a chance and rented it. To our amazement it was a movie about 3 rules to follow on how to pick up girls. I instantly grabbed a pen and paper and took notes. After the movie we were so giddy with this new knowledge that we had to test it. For a while the approaches we were doing was a learning experience. Figuring out what worked and what doesn't. We shared knowledge and new ideas with each other, and somehow I started to become really good with people. It almost seemed like I could approach ALMOST any girl or group and at least get them laughing and interested.
I can never say that I was a PUA because I have a different set of standards for myself.
1. me and my friend are and will always be Christians, and I have never had sex. Which I do not see as a bad thing. PM me if you want to know more about why I'm ok with being a virgin.
2. I still got anxiety when approaching hot girls, so I didn't approach them all the time.
I guess you could say that I was sort of an innovator. I started to come up with ideas of how to approach women and different ways to start a conversation. This was before I have ever read "The Game" by neil strauss or even heard of or seen a PUA forum (I wish I had back then.) I was on my own with the help of my friend.
Now that I have moved around and had a serious relationship, which no longer exists, I have been out of the game for so long that I must now start over. I have almost forgotten everything and I'm slowly starting to get back to how I was. I no longer have my friend on this journey and it would be awesome if there was someone in my area that I could hang out with, share ideas, learn from, wing, sarge... if not then that's cool. I look forward to sharing ideas and experiences with all of you. - Flash
