So I was using text game on this girl who i met at school. I had gotton her number and gave her a valentines day present the 14.
Today the 16th I decided to text her while I was doing chores. So while vaccuming I opened up with
D: What's up ***** so what did you on the 1st day of the break (insert happy smile here)
HB 7.5: it's ***** (I mispelled her name Big mistake I know) buy nothing yesterday i went 2 lakepark what did you do?
D: ***** (i spelled it right that time) why did you have to have such a hard name 2 spell. (It was funny because her name is like 5 letters long)
I said Just Joking (laughing smile) my bad next time misspell my name
HB 7.5: Lol derick (she misspelled my name)
D: I had to mow my grandma's lawn, walk to the grocery store for her, and wash dishes. Guess how much I got paid
HB 7.5: how much?
D: 0 dollar and 0 cents
HB 7.5: Lol sorry I know u mad 4 doin all dat n not recieving any rewards
Below is where i think i screwed up.
D: And on top of all that i'm wasting my time texting you, Just joking (insert happy smile) Talking to you is the best reward i could ask for. I gotta do more chores c u tues
I think I used the whole c&f thing to one sidely |

| You pushed your cocky too much I would think especially at the end. I wouldn'nt even pushed the cocky/funny at the misspelled name instead dropping right away and changing threads would of been ideal. I dont know if your problem lies more into transitioning from thread to thread. |

Yikes, yes many errors. The overall tone seemed very needy and try-hard, especially the V-tines gift. I would leave that one alone for a couple of weeks, unless you've already had sex, then the freeze-out doesn't need to be as long. The key here is that right now she has all of the power, and women lose interest in a man they can dominate. Unless that's what you two are into. |

the name thing is as big of a deal as you think,
mr. fantastic is right the gift might have been a little over the top.
dont supplicate its dlv, also the cocky funny comment at the end would have been fine if you stopped at just kidding, when you said | Quote: | | Talking to you is the best reward i could ask for | that conveyed too much interest.
let her contact you next time and if she doesnt then forget her.
hang in there, ive done the same thing in the past, just learn from it and move on
good luck |

| Ouch, sound more like a insult instead of a c&f when you texted her that. Remember that a neg is not a insult, its playful teasing. |

| I agree, negs should be very subtle, that was an insult. Also I think complaining about not getting paid to do chores for grandma? may have come off as beta male there. |

| i don't know how long u've known her for, but valentine's gifts can ruin everything if ur not dating exclusively yet it seems. In my experience, those gifts have just conveyed too much interest, so if you do it you have to make sure it's well balanced w/ some congruent DHV almost right after, else you risk loosing interest |

NEVER GIVE VALENTINE'S GIFTS TO GIRLS YOU AREN'T IN A SERIOUS RELATIONSHIP WITH! Sorry, just had to get that out of my system The only girls I ever give gifts to outside of relationships is either girls I'm not interested in sexually/romantically or girls I am somewhat interested in and give a spur-of-the-moment gift just because it fits. These should always be small and delivered in a cocky/funny way.. "I found this rock on the beach, it made me think of your nose. Hehe" And NEVER EVER try to take advantage of a gift. Even in a relationship. All gifts should be given with a "no strings attached, just because I felt like it"-kind of attitude. That works best in the long run.
Seriously though.. unless she had a really big interest in you before all this, I think you are pretty screwed on this one |
