Me personally, I'm not sure about the kissing on the cheek. Most of the girls I know routinely kiss and get kissed on the cheek, which has the effect of normalizing a relationship, rather than increasing the kinesthetic tension. Is a kiss on the cheek really stage one of the process towards getting a kiss on the lips? Personally I don't find so. If you have to kiss make it brief, but don't let a pent-up desire for touching be released in ritualised non-erotic cheek kissing.
