 Post subject: how to respond to "cool"

from online, to in person, to the phone.

my game suddenly stops at the word "cool"

i cant think of anything to say but mhmm. or yea. or yup.
then it freezes.


when i say a routine or a cocky funny joke
the girl says cool.

and then i dont know what else to say it just freezes


example:
Me: (Cocky Funny + Routine)
Girl: Cool
Me: Yup
(mid delay) (cant think)
Me: well i gotta get back to my friends, maybe we can talk to somemore after (email close)

or
her: nice hair did you get a haircut?
me: yea
her: cool

i jsut dont know how to respond to "Cool"

Maybe instead of giving one word responses like "yea" you should elaborate more and put couple negs in.

A girl asked me that same question about my hair, and i responded back not with a simple yea but with a short elaboration followed by a short funny story.

make sure what you say is impossible to say cool too.

you---Wow i cant believe you noticed! you must be so in luv with me!!!

now if she answers cool... you can just be like wtf you idiot you cant say cool after a sentence like that! it just doesnt work!

but she probably wont say cool lol

If she asks you if you got a haircut or compliments you on anything it is a perfect oppurtunity to neg her by saying:

"Yeah, thought one of us sholud make an effort to look nice."

If her only response to your cocky + funny routine is "cool" then it probably wasn't that funny. She should be laughing! Which then lets you either escalate the routine by adding something else or take the conversation straight onto another subject.

I always like responding with, "No I got in a fight with a lawn mower... I won." for the hair cut question. I'm Mr. Sarcastic.

When a girl says cool, its a general statement to something that didn't mean a lot to her. The same would go for if she said "thats nice". So, like the other said avoid saying something that would elicit the response of cool, and if she does say cool to something like that, either punish her or neg her.
