Ok
so i was walking with the group to get pizza...and this HB8 is like...Michael, you look sexy...
i said uhh thanks
how would a pua respond to that? it kind of made me feel uncomfotable because i didnt know what to do. shes not the kind of girl who will tell that to anyone...sooo im confused.
also, she commented on my haircut in the car...and said it looks nice. does 'nice' mean anything different to women? or is it just nice? |

wow seems like your over-thinking it too much bro.
You should have bust her nuts on that and made it sound like she was hitting on you. For example, I just came home from a party where one of the HBs I hit on, opened me.
(me heading to the keg)
HB: Hey I like your necklace ( I had on this real boar tooth necklace with a dragon inscribed on it)
me: Whoa hands off the merchandise kiddo!
me (to her friend): Does she ACTUALLY pick up guys like this?
(from here on I did the styles cologne routine). |

Like the guys said, you're analyzing this too much. Evict all second guessing thoughts in your head and ASSUME she's interested in you. I don't react to her like I just got validated by her compliment.
I'll give you a bunch of good examples of exactly what I'd say in that situation:
Her: Greg, you look sexy!
Me: You know it.
or
Me: Pft. You tell all the boys that.
or
Me: Hm? What was that? (she repeats it) That's what I thought I heard. Look, I'm not that easy alright? (with a smile)
or
Me: Are you hitting on me already?
And about your question regarding the 'nice' comment...dude, what? It doesn't mean anything bad. Stop thinking!  Get outside your head. When a girl you don't even know says something to you, don't indulge in or analyze it ever. It's unhealthy to give that kind of power to strangers. |

I have a similar question.
How do you accept a compliment in a non-arrogant AND non-boring way, when you're not gaming? Like if it's coming from a guy, adult, or girl you're just friends with. |

I'd do it the same way for anybody that compliments me like that. If I only make the exception to respond to women like that, I'm not being congruent and it's good practice to get into that habit.
Though the thing is, I wouldn't call it being arrogant since I usually do it with a smile and dripping sarcasm. |

Yeah, but saying "you know it," coming from me, will sound sooo weird to people who know me. I need to know how to respond to "nice haircut/cool necklace" other than "thanks" when it comes from people I know who I'm not trying to game. |

yeah, if your dad says "nice polo, where did you get it from?" to you, you shouldn't respond with (to mom) "does he pick up every guy like this?"
but, if possible, I love to play a low-key game on my friends all the time. I normally do it on girls who I am not super tight with, and its a blast. for instance, I'm sitting in the dorm cafe with two girls Im tight with, and two girls I kind of know, I would rip on the girls I kinda know and then be generally funny with the girls I know well.
Its always good practice and a lot of fun to do. |
