Are there different rules for this? I met a girl at a party tonight who is a friend of a friend and I guess she said I was "really attractive" and that she wanted my number (lol? funnily enough I thought I was doing a bad job with her)
Do the rules change for this type of situation? I can't imagine why they would... I guess it just becomes a lot easier due to pre-social proof?

my mate thrives on this, it is so much easier going for the friends of friends. you don't need any game whatsoever. 90% of the time the girl will automatically be attracted , social proof is already there. they will see you as forbidden fruit as they are unaware what their friend feels for you. Some may not even be attracted to you in the slightest, just the fact as most friendships between girls involve stabing each other in the back.
good if you are looking for a 1 night stand. as for a relationship, well would a girl ever stay with a guy who is friends with her friend?   |

I have to disagree with a few things you have said.
While social proof is there, the statistic you gave for attraction is just waaaayyyy off. You may actually be put into the LJBF zone a lot easier than you would in a normal situation because it's easier to gain trust. It's pretty much already there.
I would focus strongly on building attraction because comfort is already taken care of for the most part. |

Interesting.
As for what type of relationship I want with her... it really makes no difference. I just need her to be one of my little rebound girls (as dickheaded as that sounds)
Searching for the oneitis cure!!
Anyway, obviously there is some attraction there... and like ray said, comfort is pretty much taken care of... so I suppose I just need to do a bunch of attraction stuff and then skip over comfort? |

I have to agree pretty much with Simcity.
Thinking back to all my girls as an AFC most of them were the friend of a friend...not always female/female, sometimes a guy friend with a girl he knows.
I agree its a kind of pre-established social proof. Also, it is easier because you can cut some stuff out like an opener and a time constraint.
There is a relative type of danger to be put in the LJBF zone, but even with no game you have a nice balance of being accepted but still mysterious. This intrest leads to the oppurtunity for even an AFC to make a good impression.
Also if its a femlae friend of a female friend, typically they will not introduce you in a very direct manner unless intrest has been expressed between them. I work with 2 chicks who are friends and they always do this, they see a pic of a guy and its, "Hey hes cute...you need to introduce me".

Ya these are the things I love because they are so easy. I remember once I gave a friend that is a girl a hug and she had her friend with her, the next day the friend I hugged came to talk to me and and said that her friend talked about me the whole time the day before and that she wanted to give her number to me. - Of course at that time, I was very AFC and was afraid to call  . |
