It was my very first sarge yesterday, at a jazz bar I went to with a friend. The place was kinda guys only except for two HB's sitting at a table somewhere in the back of the place. Told my friend (not into the game) I wanted to try this thing and we prepared a few lines before we went over. As we approached one of the girls took off and headed straight onto the stage. Unable to turn back we just seat down next to the one left and a little confused I opened her with something like "what guys do you like better, bass players or trumpet players?" HB turned out to be French and didn't understand a word I was saying. So far for the smooth opener...
So we just started talking random shit and she was surprisingly relaxed and didn't feel realy intimidated talking to two guys on her own. Turned out both girls were jazz singers and performing at the jam session that night! Fun. The other girl returned (who turned out to be quite an UG from up close) and the 4 of us talked some more until they went off to perform. We got a better position close at the stage, and got some EC with the pretty one while she's singing. After the performance she heads up to me. I complement her on the singing and she says "well, if you want to hear some more you should come to my next performance and gives her phonenumber, email, and website. |

I have a few thoughts dude...
I know a few french girls, and something I have found/learnt is that your body language, tonality etc communication is even more than the usual 93% because, even when they are fluent there is a language barrier, especially around humour. So you need to look back at how you communicated aside from what you said; did you work in some kino? How was her body language? Were there any clear IOI's?
My other thought is that if she gave you her website she sees you as a fan/punter as opposed to the next guy she's going to sleep with. I'd shoot for a coffee date but don't stress if she turns you down...
Like I say, look back and learn from how you spoke to her. |

Thanks for the thoughts. This is what I think as well. The only IOI I can think of is that she approached me as the first person right after she got of the stage. After the #-close she was straight off to her musiscian friends though. Do you suggest using email or phone ?[/quote] |

What did you talk about? Did you set up any themes, funny stuff that you can refer back to?
I get the feeling that this one is best left and just move on to the next.... |

Thought my post would be best suited here.
New to the game, so I thought that I would just practice openers last night.
Didn't just go for sets, went for a few mixed sets too. Overall it went well, got a couple of IOI's, but not from great lookers!
A question for more experienced gamers, does taking this slower approach work, or should I just go for broke?
I found that my confidence grew as the night went on, so i'm thinking that my gameplan is going well at the moment, but thought I would get some other points of view. |

From my point of view I would thinks hes might trying to get a fan. You could call her / email and say (Cocky Funny) your phone number would have been enough, who said i actually liked your music and wasn't hitting on you?
Me and my friend spoke about slower approach / going for broke. We were discussing about how if you just build attraction and sexual attraction over a few days how much better the sex will be then and after. Also you will get a returning customer |
