| I opened today, 3 sets; sucky part is the fact I am at a college bar. Granted there are more females then men, though the men have a way of trying to really cock-block, and succeeding.
First Set:
A number of like, 6+ girls, guys were away; I pick my target, open: "Hey girls, I have to get back to my friends soon, but I really need your opinion: 'I have a friend, my roommate actually, and he has a new gf, she has been talking to me a lot lately - should I be worried?'?" I disregard the target, the traget looks over (I was behind the target, she turns, HB8-HB9). I say to her, "you seem interested, you can answer too"
HB8: I am!
I repeat the question, focusing on the ugly girls in the group, get an answer. I hear a guy from the next table over calling a name and looking over - i give him a look, make eye-contact again. I look at the target when she talks, neg her:
Me: That's cute (pause) your nose wiggles when you talk.
She laughs during this, than I retalk to the other girls and she leans over (laughing) talking to one of the girls. I ignore this and continue. I did not get to mid-game, the guy came over and grabbed the target and pulled her to the next table. I ignore this as well and continue with a number of girls at that table, than eventually walk away.
What could I have done to make this better approach? How do I deal with a situation like that?
