Greeting Fellow PUA Brothers in Crime,
A quick field report, a lesson learned, and a question. But before I begin, I must say that I've failed you all yesterday. But today, I return to fight again.
Field Report
Date: 12/16/06
Location: Club Rubber at the Galaxy Theatre in Costa Mesa, CA
So my friends and I meet up at a barbecue. As with all house parties, spitting mad game is a piece of cake and I easily make rounds demonstrating DHV. But sadly, no good targets, and the decent ones were all guarded viciously by their BFs.
We hit up this overpriced club in CM called Club Rubber. $20 admission, $10 parking, $10 drinks. My best (F) wing DD is out sick with the cold, so I'm going 007 (solo) tonight with my friends including my good (M) friend KCB.
We get there and I swear, it seems like every odd is against us. The music is so loud (rave music) you practically have to scream to communicate and even then, only every 3rd word is heard. Girls are okay (max HB8's), but for every 1 girl there are like 3 mean looking sausages who look constipated & angry. The approach anxiety was gruesome!
So I say to KCB, "Hey man, wing with me, okay?" And he replied, "I prefer to chill." I knew he wouldn't. So I went in 007 style (solo). Let's just say it was a rough night for this young PUA. Mayday! Soldier down!
Lesson Learned: You live, you learn. Mistakes yesterday are okay as long as you learn from your mistakes. Maybe next time, I'll try to apply the 3 second rule more and just socialize with everybody. Maybe next time, I'll try to stay in sets longer instead of pulling out prematurely. It's okay to lose battles as long as you win the war.
And finally, my question...
These are to me, the top 10 places to meet girls and spit game (from easiest to hardest)... do you guys agree?
- 1) At House Parties that Friends Host
- 2) At House Parties/Dinners that I Throw
- 3) Through Get Togethers Where My Friend Is the Doorway to a Whole New Group of Friends
- 4) At Social Events through Work and School
- 5) Through Introductions from Friends
- 6) The Internet: eg. Match.com
- 7) Through Social Clubs (eg Church Groups)
-  At Special Interest Gatherings
- 9) At Weddings
- 10) At Local Singles Mixers and Speed Dating Events
- 11) At Random Places like the Mall and Coffee Shops
- 12) At Local Bars
- 13) At Local Lounges
- 14) At Clubs
I think the last 4 are worth sarging at and calibrating your skills at, but they are easily the hardest venues. Let me know your thoughts.
