I was listening to David D today and most of what he had to say was quasi-interesting. However, there's one thing I've got to share with you. I'm not completely thieving on his idea because I think I've come up with another wrinkle to it, but I got my original idea from double D (who probably got it from someone else) so props to him for bringing it to my attention.

Failure is a man-made thing. No other animal thinks about it.

Q: If a lioness hunting on the plains of Africa fails to catch an antelope, what is she?

A: Still hunting. She doesn't get down on herself and think of what a loser she is. She doesn't say, "Well, maybe if I was better looking." She doesn't mope or cry that life isn't fair. That's something we humans have a monopoly on.

So, in essence, much like the tooth fairy and Santa Claus (sorry to anyone who's hearing that for the first time), failure is make-believe.

I agree. I do that alot, when a girl gives me a IOD, I'll think about it the rest of the day and analyse what I did wrong and feel no urge to go try again.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, are you trying to tell me that the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus aren't real? What kind of blasphemy is this!?

BTW, you make a very good point about failure, but I beg to differ on the afore mentioned points.
