If you get told it will be fun to hang out at home with a small group, you're probably being lied to, or tricked into having less fun, just so that the other people will have more fun with you there. Only reason to stay in, is if you have a decently sized party at your place, or if you're assured of female companionship. I think a lot of people find it normal to stay at home for long lengths of time without going out. This opposite of this is true. Humans naturally need to be around each other, we all have a need for companionship.
