what are your thoughts on this? I go to a commuter college..what are your thoughts on moving targets..and if a cute chick walks by by herself..just approaching "hey i thought you were attractive..i had to introduce myself" and depending on her reaction, tell her yo ugotta be on your way to class but you would like to hang out with her sometime and go for the #..

is college a bad place for direct approaches like that?

i think it depends on what college it is. if you tried that line on my campus you would NOT get good responses/reactions.

if you tried that line at UNC you would get great reactions.

I'm still trying to work on my openings as well.

I'm wondering if the majority of people here think opening with a compliment is good or bad.

Hell, I don't see any guys direct approaching any girls at my campus during the day.

Don't open with direct in campus... especially in your own campus.

Direct line still naturally a "big hit or big miss" thing, either you success or you fail people WILL remember you. If you build up a reputation of walking around campus hitting on girl, your uni life is bye bye.

Just be really quick in displaying interest. You can still direct open sometimes, just don't do it too regularly. Just don't.

This is the annoying thing.

How do you expect to game girls up if you can't?

Or am I reading this wrong? Should I only approach girls who I think looks really interesting?

I'm not talking about approaching 20 girls a day, btw.

what they're saying is you can definitely game girls on campus, just use situational openers, not going in direct and complimenting how she looks or whatever cos that would be hitting on her and hence you would get the reputation of the guy that hits on girls.

I'll give you an example cos i'm in university myself now, i was getting off the train at my uni's stop and i noticed that this girl got off with me, that's nothing special though, the weird thing was that she got on at the same stop as me too, so it was kind of like she was stalking m, which is what i used to open, i simply slowed down so she could catch up and asked her jokingly "are you stalking me?" and i ended up number closing her.
