I'm getting really frustrated. It seems like sometimes I am just on and I can talk, do, and say what ever I want to whomever I want and its gold. But other times I struggle to even make general conversation with people. I don't know if its because I try and automatically go into pick-up mode when ever I see a potental target and just think to much about what to say and how to say it and don't act naturally.
At times I even think about where to look when I'm walking. (Like if I'm supposed to look at someone even if they don't look back to me. It feels like I'm just trying to hard.) I think about what to do constantly.
If I walk around a group of people I feel like everyone is staring at me, and I have to project the right body language and say the right things in order to be ranked as an alpha male.
I don't even really feel like I can be myself anymore because of all these techniques and methods I have to think about. I know this is a lot to take in, but any advice would be helpful. |

Stop thinking your way into failure! Most guys feel when they get this way that they have to learn more and stop sarging as much. First off don't have in that trap. Next, before you go out don't listen to any PUA stuff or read any PUA stuff. Just listen to your music and get ready! Get yourself in a good mood, catch a power nap if needed. Stop trying to think about just focus on the fact you're going out to have fun and entertain yourself, nothing else.
It's slowly getting into your automated response, but it takes time through repetition to get it in there. I know exactly what you are talking about, and feel the same way. When I'm at work, I'm writing posts, giving good advise from my automated response, because I'm relaxed here. When I'm in the field sometimes I struggle, why because I haven't fully relaxed! The more you do it, the more automatic it becomes, and the less you are thinking about it. You start to say the right words and phrases as easily as breathing. So relax, and try not to obsess over it! |
