I'm fairly new to this so sorry if its stupid but... I've been aquainted with this girl for a while (almost 5 years) but up until about a year ago, we never really hung out and almost never even saw eachother. When I first met her, she was into me but we never did anything. She has been gone for about a month for work, and when I talked to her today, almost the first thing she said was that her BF of about 5 months broke up with her. She wants to hang out tomorrow (go get coffee or something). Can I salvage this? Its not one-itis because I am definitely interested in seeing other girls if this is a no-go but on the other hand it would be cool if she was into being more than just friends.

Use her to your advantage. Try to develop your game by analyzing what you do and what effects you get out of her.

You are already meeting her, so no need to go for any special openers.

Build some comfort, get her to be interested in you.

AND DO NOT, lay it down, in meaning, do not tell her everything about you. (In fact, you usually don't tell her anything.)

If she asks about anything about you, lie about it to make some fun. Then you can go from there trying to close it.
