Okay here is a great oppener i came up with but there are some strings attached to it. one you should know another language but you dont need to and it will still work. i'll explain later. and two the target should look like the ethnicty of the language. meaning if she looks japanese then speak japanese or if you speak spanish then some one who looks spanish. get the point?
ok go up the the ethinc target and say anything in the language you think they know "hey nice to meeet you" or my favorite "nice weather" and if they understand they will either laugh cause you made a funny comment or they will talk to you and you can do what ever you like.
but if you dont know the language and they are fluent in that language just say "slow down i just learned" and they will laugh and you can ask for help or start a new topic
but if they say "sorry i dont understand you" you just say" im sorry i thought you were a tourist and you look lonely" then do what every you want from there.
Sorry it was soooo long but it works and i did it in wakiki in hawaii to the tourist and it worked great and got a #-close and when i did it at a club with a japanese-mixed girl i got a #-close. Good luck everyone!
