Figured I would write this out and see if I'm the only guy who's ever thought this way.
When I first started out in pick-up, normally what I'd do is, I'd walk over to a two-set of women, for example, initiate a conversation (approach) and successfully open them.
Then what I'd do is wait and see if I was getting IOI's from either one of them and that would be my target. Which ever one was giving the most IOI's would win. Often times, I'd see them as equals, in terms of IOI's, in which case, I'd generally default to the uglier one of the two.
Why did I do this? I think the reason is because, using the male, logical mind, I was assuming that the uglier of the two probably got hit on less than the hotter one and would therefore be an easier target.
Here's where that logic is flawed.
I've gone to a few a strip clubs with one of my best friends several times for lunch. The thing about strip clubs at lunch is, the girls haven't been drinking yet. They have approach anxiety too. I'm much better looking than my friend. So anyway, we're stting there and eventually a stripper will approach. I've seen it dozens of times. EVERY time they approach, they approach my friend. I don't think a chick has ever had the balls to approach me during lunch.
I mean, I've seen this dozens of times...women opening up my friend while I sit there being ignored. Not trying to brag or toot my own horn, but women think I'm hotter than shit (which doesn't get you laid, by the way)...so why don't they approach me? They're making exactly the same mistake I've been making, assuming that the uglier party of the set is an easier target.
My theory is that, outside of a few sober AFC's trying some day game and coming dangerously close to sexual harrassment in the work place, the hottest women on this planet are probably not getting hit on as much as we think they are. 99% of what they do get is total AFC crap that would not work with the ugliest woman on the planet.
I'd bet a dollar at even money that the really hot girl's friends are getting hit on more often than they are...at least in the bars. The hot ones are aware of this...that they're better looking than their friends...and, instinctively, they're just waiting for the guy with enough "high value" to come along and hit on them instead of their friends. |
