a bitch at the drink stand in the gym

I just joined this gym, and i started talking to the girl that sells the drinks at the stand inside, we build rapport, i neg her about her job and her skills at it, and she just says "i'm a bitch, if you start working here, everybody will tell you to stay away from me because im such a bitch"... my responses was "great, my favorite type, i've been told im an asshole so we should be fine" and then i got my drink, payed and left.... HOW THE FUCK do you get around that line she told me? I can't fucking take it, i know theres a way to flip the script on her and pick her up but can ANYONE with some skills in the field help me out? please? i just wanna get her number for the sake of feeling good knowing i can pick her up, so someone please drop me a line or something on how to get around that "im a bitch" line, what can i say next time i see her?

The "I'm a bitch" statement is a shit test
You did good by agreeing with her that she is in fact a Bitch.(As long as you didn't say what u said about being a bitch lover with a Smile on your face?)

Although a better response would have been to ignore it all together as if you didnt hear it and kept on talking.
But for the most part you passed

So forget she even said that statement to you---Don't even bring it up to her that she said "She's a bitch" otherwise she'll act the part. And this will trigger the Unbreakable Bitch Shield which will most likely end with you supplicating/apologizing to her. So just talk to her as normal like it never happened

Learn to be more observant. There's a lot to be gained from what a girl says. Her outright saying she's a bitch. This girl is obviously a Bad Boy lover and wants someone to take charge of her. So you're going to have to be straight forward with this girl and not so nice from now on----

you could have played it out like "Your right, but for the wrong reason. want to know why we would never get on? Because i would be like, completely toxic to you. I'm like, you know in university where you work for like 4 years and you have one year left, I'd be the guy to say why BOTHER. Like, id just be so toxic for you its not even funny...." then walk off.

I think that would have been a good option.

I actually think you played that well. The next time you talk to her, carry on gaming as normal. Plow through. Tyler Durden has some pretty good routines on plowing through shields. I don't have any links, but look into it.

I was just watching Foundations yesterday with TD and he went through all the ways of dealing with shit tests and getting past the shield. His big rule of thumb is to be unreactive.

A few of them are:

-having something snappy to say back(quickly)
-look at her strangely like you didn't understand what she said. This communicates that you're being yourself in your own world and what she said not only has no effect on you but you don't know what it means.
-Laugh it off as an feeble invasion of your reality.
-respond in a nonreactive way. Something along the lines of "uh huh", "Respect" or "uh huh, right. anyway..."
-Ignore it. Flat out ignore. It didn't even register on your radar.

I think you handled it pretty well. I tend to stay away from trying to top them with a really snappy comeback unless the girl is either VERY COLD or very high energy and fun.
Personally in this situation, I would have looked at her normally like she just got finished talking about her shopping list and just said "mhm, cool." then carried on.

You basically shut down the shit test, and force her to carry on the convo.

I would bring it up. I would play a different name-game than Ming said, though due to the fact that most times, people working at reception areas of the gym have name-tags. If you ask her name when she has a name tag on, that makes you look dumb. Though I suppose there is a neg or routine in that situation somewhere...

Not many women are naturally bitches, they just have to act like they are.

By bringing it up again, you are calling her out on it. That way, now everything she does is transparent to you (or at least she'll feel that way because you've seen through her little game).
