The difference between IOI and politeness is the body language. The body does not lie.

Polite is one compliment, smile, touch, etc.

IOIs are several of them in a short period of time.

IOI is her naked legs wrapped around your head - like she is riding on your shoulders - only facing the wrong way.

There is no difference! If she's nice to you, you can f her! Nah, just kidding (mostly). But when in doubt, assume its interest.

I always look for preening. That seems to be almost 100% accurate. Just make sure it is for you.

wow thats great. heres the stituation: there is this girl who i've known for awhile and shes really nice to me and she gave me a crad for my for my birthday and she wrote all this stuff about being there for me and she loves me and even gave her number(which i never gotten before) she is like older than me and i only see her about onve a month or even once every teo monthes. i think i get IOIs but it could just be that shes is really nice or shes intrested.
Another question is there a difference between JUST being nice and IOI's? and what about girls who are just generally nice?

It's kind of like porn - I can't define it but I know when I see it.

I guess the easiest way to help is give me a very specific instance and it's context - we'll go from there.

Woman touches you - can be both but more likely it's an IOI. Woman laughs at your joke - harder to tell are you funny? That's where the context comes in.

Some are very obvious - touching of her hair or chest while talking to you, hand lingering on your arm/leg or if (for some reason) there is a high five and you interlock fingers. If she comes up and starts to pet you (happens to me - get the hand swipe across my back as she walks by (hired gun)) or maybe footsie under the table.

Not so obvious - the dilated pupils (dark environments cause this as well).

yes these are IOIs. Giving you a card shows that she is thinking about you when you are not around (which is what they want/like us to do). She is making the mistake of treating you the way a girl would want to be treated. Which obviously hasn't had the full effect. Giving you her number was her way of saying I want to see you again, without her having to come out and say it. Its like signing a high school year book and saying "keep in touch" with your phone number below.

You should call her.

I will say this though, giving you a card tells me that she sees you as bf material rather than just a casual hook up. If you are just in it for the hook up, you must decide if playing with her emotions is something you are willing to do. I make no judgment either way, but personally I tend not to game girls who are genuinely straight forward with me. Just a thought

thanks but she is genrally nice to everyone but this is the second time i've gotten a card from her. even when we took pictures she rather stand next to me then her boyfriend. ya she has a boyfriend who is a complete dork. but whatever.
i'd like to think she likes me but i still think not because i am leaving for japan in a week for college and cant help to think its a one time thing. but what happenes happens. and she is like 7 yrs older than me.
