How do you guys motivate yourself to approach a set of girls to do openers? I've been having terrible luck with girls recently. After reading "The game" and finding this site, I decided to try picking up at a club. I was going to use the approach about "Who lies more? Men or Women?" and include time constraints and talking over the shoulder slightly as if I was about to leave. When the time came, I'm ashamed to say that I pussied out. The whole situation felt unnatural. Is there anything you guys do to push yourself before going out?

You are soooo new to pickup the openers can sound really canned, well lets face it they are. I say instead of trying to pick up chicks just go out there and meet new people. You are not trying to sleep with them just trying to have some fun conversations with them. Get use to talking to good looking women before you try and bag them. Go to a super high traffic area. If you see a cute girl just walk over to her and be friendly. No opener. Just tell her you like her hair or some bullshit like that. Chat her up for a minute and tell her it was fun but you have to go. To this as many times as you can. Get more confident and less awkward.

My motivation comes from the fact that, I enjoy having sex and I enjoy the presence of beautiful women. Quit masturbating, make a promise with yourself that if you want to bust a nut a female has to do it. You just have to be strong. There's no magic pill for that, step out of your comfort zone and do it. I used to ask myself before I was comfterable approaching, " am I a man or a bitch?" And if your a bitch don't approach. If your a man, be a man and do it. If your too concerned with how you "feel" doesnt that make you somewhat feminine? Think about it..

The first time I tried to game girls was using the same opener. I lost my voice while telling the opener and girls probably felt sorry for me. The thing is, when we start to take actions towards girls we expect too much of ourselves. You think is terms I have to open the set, approach from 30 degree angle, false time constraints, dhv, neg, bla bla. THIS IS ALL BULLSHIT! Just say Hi, I wanted to meet you. And talk to them. Just talk to them. "You look like you study chemistry." Or whatever. Basically what JohnnyMagic86 said. As for pushing yourself, always make sure that you are making SMALL STEPS. You cannot become pimp over night.

It also makes you act in a much more sexually charged way so this is solid all-around. Edit: in fact, I remember that when I did this for like 2 weeks without getting laid, it seemed like I was getting much better reactions from women because everything I did was done with a hint of desire. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the advice guys. From reading the book, it seems easier than it actually is. I'll start small and move up from there, though I'm not that good with small talk either. I guess that's why fixed openers/lines are so popular.
