And can it happen instantly? Like, can you be friendzoned after meeting the girl for the first time? I have a phobia of this. I'm considered a very funny guy, but sometimes I lack confidence to kino and wonder if being funny + lack of sexual escalation can get you in that zone immediately. I mean, wouldn't that make the girl like you (because you're funny), but not be sexually attracted due to a lack of physical contact (therefore friendzoned)? And back to my original question, how do you know if you're well and truly a friend, or if she is very much interested and giving you IOI's? Thanks |

FriendZONED. It is a process. You can't be friendzoned after meeting a girl one time. In general, a girl will (tend) to friendzone you when you are: - the typical nice guy - never touches her - never negs her - never tease her - starts listening to her bullshit stories about her ex-BF - spends TOO much time with her If you do the opposite, the girl MIGHT show you IOI's (not always, i mean: some girls are just NOT INTERESTED, regardless of how you act). She will tease you back. She will touch you back. She will laugh a lot with you. She will like to isolate you. Etc. |

Yes, it can and DOES happen in the first meeting with a woman. In fact, as an opener, I'll often use "Hey, my friend and I were just arguing about something. We're meeting some people shortly, but I wanted to get a quick female opinion to settle this: How long does it take a girl to 'friend zone' a guy?" 95% of women will say something like, "About 10 seconds," or "It happens very quickly." And they're right. A woman will know VERY shortly after your first contact with her whether you're a friend or lover, and being too fun without creating any sexual tension is a great way to become the friend. I like RSD Tim's equation: Fun + No sexual intent = Friend Zone / Entertainer Guy Status Sexual intent + No fun = Creeper Fun + Sexual intent = Attraction |
