As to the basic question, no, you can't escalate in a text. That requires physical contact. You can frame yourself, somewhat, in text messages, but you aren't gonna get much out of her until the two of you are next to eachother, face to face.

We both moved to the Bible Belt from California, so I responded with:

"We're in the Bible Belt, but we're not reading the Bible down here."

It's kind of ambiguous, but I thought it sounded like 'anythings possible' without sounding creepy.

Been texting this girl for about three days. We left each other about three years ago on bad terms, but I never fucked her. She fucked numerous friends of mine. Would say she loved me, and I thought it was like a brother. I always felt I was in the friend zone, but then one night she said she would give me a hand job etc. if I drove 2 hours to see her. So, she responded back to that text with, "You're fuckin nuts lol". I don't know if she's meaning I'm crazy because she would never think of that or if she just means I'm crazy period. If I was getting laid a lot I wouldn't be asking these sorts of questions. I do just fine when I just meet girls and get the intentions out there in the beginning, but this girl is in a grey area. I was going to follow that up with, "In other words YES I'm getting fresh." What's a good response?

I would respond to the whole, "are you getting fresh with me Sir?" with a simple "yep", preferably with no punctuation or capitalization, like you put almost no thought to the response and just assumed that it was natural to be sexual. If that were put her off, your intentions obviously not align with her you shouldn't hang out with her. Given your current situation, I think you still have a chance but I would honestly be little turned off by her responses. She has to work for you too, not just the other way around. There are tons of girls who would react in the way you desire. When one doesn't want to play along, find a mountaintop somewhere and scream at the top of your lungs "NEXT!!!!!!!!"
