Lets assume she is a cashier at my local store. We are kind of friendly, she likes me, but I don't hit on her (Yet. For my own reasons). She told me she will be leaving the job to have a baby soon. I am going to buy some casual small thing (present) for her future baby and give it to her. But I don't know what to buy, whats cool present for a baby? |

Nothing. Maybe a card. Why would you give a gift to the baby of someone who you haven't done more with than flirted a little at a checkout stand? Sorry to say, but it sounds a little SNAG-ish, if you ask me. |

I think that getting her anything would be a gesture too forward. There's been no apparent sign of interest from her end other than some smiles and laughs. Maybe some flirting. Just tell her "Congratulations! I know you'll make a good mother." and give her a warm smile. That's the best 'gift' that can be given to her, for now. |

People generally find that receiving gifts from strangers is creepy. And that's what you are to her, a stranger. I don't care about your "personal reasons" for not hitting on her, and more importantly, dont you think she has a man in her life if she's HAVING A BABY! I don't know a lot but I know that you need a man to make a baby as well. |

I thought I would regret putting the whole info. Don't worry about that, you don't know what exactly is my relationship with her. If i say it would be perfect than I mean it. So just answer the question or ignore the thread. A card is good idea, as its exctly what I am looking - inexpensive, casual and cool. But what a card for a baby? PS: Quote: I don't know a lot but I know that you need a man to make a baby as well.
Ever heard of single moms, smartass?

I know that you are being very vague, and that usually means you don't want to reveal information. I know that when people don't want to reveal information, its usually not good. I also know that sometimes, the better option is to walk away. You come here assuming the best option for you is to get a gift, not getting anything can be a very viable option. Just because you want to impress her with a gift doesn't mean its necessarily the right move, and I'm not just being negative for throwing that out there.

Ever heard of single moms, smartass? If we don't have the full information, how can we answer the question? Are you actually this stupid? As for her being a "Single Mom", she still needed that sperm to produce the kid, where did that come from? Heaven? Go refer your Biology texts before posting here next time. |

Agreed, this is creepy and won't do anything positive for your chances with her anyway.
