I'm moving to a different city 400 miles away for a couple of years. I'm wondering if I should tell this HB10 I've been talking to. I stopped talking to her for a month because at one point I realized I was kind of acting AFC and it wasn't getting me anywhere so I should take a break and move on and grow, etc..

Now I can't decide if I should tell her. I'm hesitating to tell her because she'll play that "i don't give a fuck" card now that I stopped talking to her and then I'll lose face. Part of me was thinking I' won't tell her and let her see on my facebook that I've moved and make her feel as though she lost her chance.. But the other part of me kinda want to tell her because I know it's her dream to move to San Francisco so maybe I'll get more value if I tell her?

I know this could be simple or even lame but it's just been on my mind a lot lately and I have about 2 weeks left here in LA before I move and I liked this girl a lot.. just that we played too much games in the past.

You should make a social gathering activity with a bunch of friends and invite her to it. Don't be too needy to see her.

her preferred method of communication is through text.. what should be my first text be after over a month of not communicating?

"Moving to San Francisco. Good times."

That should be your post. And you don't owe her any information. If she bites the bait and responds be cool about it, set up one last meeting if you can and try to get to the end point on the day.

well first you need to set up a farewell night with a bunch of friends where you go to a bar or a club or something. Then you text her, "Hey I'm moving to San Francisco soon and I'm going out with a bunch of friends it's going to be a lot fun, you should come" something along of those lines. If she says she can't then who cares? It's her loss.

Ok guys.. I went a different route and just texted her "Hi." because I don't think the setting up a farewell event is easy at this point as I already had a few goodbye dinners with friends/coworkers.

Her replies were generally pretty friendly and I asked her if she had time for coffee within the next week before I leave and she says she is available Monday and then asked if I wanted to have lunch or dinner. I said either is fine.

So how should I act around her now? It's been like 2 months since we last talked. She acted like a total bitch to me in the past and I think I acted too needy. I'm thinking the only reason why she is acting so nice to me now is because I'm moving to SF and she mentioned she really wanted to move to SF too in the past..

You should be more assertive, dinner is always better, and and even better idea is an interactive date, where you actually have fun. Try to make it close to your house, because then you can say "hey we're close to my house lets go do this".

Call her. Honestly, who cares what her "preferred" method of communication is. Texting just to say hi and make conversation is a complete waste of time. All you need to do is meet up, so you need to jump as soon as you can to setting up a hangout. That being said, I also don't really see this as being a good idea, anyways. I'm worried you want this girl to jump you or talk about how she always had strong feelings for you before you leave. We don't live in a romantic comedy, and all that this may do is leave you wanting more from her while you move to a new city filled with new opportunities.

Ok so just got back from dinner with said girl. I was right. She just wants to use me. Was being nice the whole time and she mentioned maybe she can come visit to explore her campus choices in SF. Then I was playing along and was like yeahh it'd be cool if you could visit.. and she was like but it'll cost money.

So I tell her I have flyer points! and she goes no but you should use them and then I'm like no it's ok, it's worth it for you.

Anyway, I kinda made one last desperate move by telling her how I missed her n stuff but she was obviously giving me the friend zone vibe.
So I'm thinking of deleting her from my FB now and move on for good in a new city. Should I do that?
