| Post subject: | How long should I wait to pick up a young widow? |
She's 26 and phillipino, don't know if that counts for anything, but someone who knows something about their culture might help. He died 3 weeks ago of a heart attack and she has no friends or family in states. I'm thinking the sooner the better, am I wrong? |

Wait until she's done mourning. You don't want her associating you with her husband's death, and on top of that, if she thinks of you as the dude who'll try to take advantage of her, you're never gonna tap that. |

This happened to me once. Met this HB7 down at the beach, made some good progress early and then she said her husband died recently. Anyway I stop gaming her after that. |

Give her enough time to mourn, man. No 'sooner the better' crap. If she's spent a considerable amount of time with her husband, maybe that 'sooner' will be very far down the line. |

very similar to not being the rebound guy [just much deeper]...let her mourne AND ...let the first guy who dates her get blown out...shes gonna reject or im not ready whoever the first guy who comes trying to date her...make sure its not you id say minimum of 2 years--one year will be genuine mournin after that she will say thats shes 'ready to get out there again' but she really wont be. she will acquire some'nice guys' who are 'there for her'...they will be hoping to be more wheras she will see them as semi-date/gay best friends...yeah 2 years |
