Hey guys thanks for the responses. I think I can see where I went wrong. A big problem for me is that I do come off as needy even if I don't mean to be. I think I felt that if I didn't press a little to go over to her place she wasn't going to extend the invitation herself even though she seemed all excited at the idea of playing mario cart. In the end she just gave me some excuse which we all know is just total b.s.

I like the idea of always texting several girls at once so then I have options. Guess I will need to go out sarging some to get those numbers now. That's the part that I'm the most uncomfortable with but I'll read up on some opening. Lately I've been trying to get with girls that I already know a little but that hasn't been going too well. They are probably wondering why I am suddenly talking to them again after not doing so for a long time (I was previously in a 2 1/2 yr relationship where I thought 'fuck all these other girls I got one I like now')

Also, how do you become direct without being creepy? I feel if I had hit on her and tried to get sexual (even with jokes) she would probably think I just want sex and that'd freak her out. I guess that's why the conversation comes off as more friendly because I'm afraid of that happening.

So, I was texting a girl I use to go to college with today and thought I was getting somewhere to hang out but as you will see it didn't end well. We text every now and then but haven't hung out since way back in school. Anyway, here is how it went: Me: Hey! Her: Hello Me: What are you up to on this beautiful day? (It's pouring out) Her: Just waking up I'm still in bed. what are you up to? Me: Wow sleep in a little. lol. I got today off of work so just hanging out Her: Yea I worked 5 12 hour days in a row and decided I needed to take today off because I can't function anymore lol Me: Ya id say you def deserve a lazy day Her: Me too...to be honest I don't think I could get out of bed right now even if I had to Me: Haha. Im in the mood to do something. I don't get many off days Her: Humm well it's crappy out not much to do on rainy days Me: We can play old school mario kart like back at school. lol Her: Haha we could I have it on my WII with the steering wheel and everything I miss those days Me: Lets do it! You'd probably kick my butt Her: Yea I pretty good haven't played since I moved but im sure I still have skills Me: As long as I have toadstool i have a chance. If u wanna play im down Her: I think I might be able to let you have toadstool i like being the princess Me: That settles it then! Whats ur address? Her: Haha your going to drive all the way out here to play mario cart with me (its about an hour) Me: I drive all the way out there to go to the beach. Not any different Her: Guess your right but then I would have to get out of bed lol Me: Pretty sure wii can be played sitting in bed. lol Her: Haha it's in the living room and as much as I would love to see you and play mario cart I just don't see myself getting out of bed today Me: Hahaha. Terrible. Ok Sorry that turned out to be pretty long. Ended shitty and she could probably tell I was pissed at the end. Sometimes I try and act cool like it doesn't bother me but that usually gets me no where. Also, I felt like I had to justify my actions at the end which seemed bad. Any idea where I went wrong? What would you have said at the very end? Thanks guys!

Well, that whole opportunity to telegraph interest was lost when you said that you'd drive all that way just to the beach. When she said that if you'd drive all the way just to see her, you reply would've been, "Yes. I would." Direct and to the point.

It was okay dude, one thing you did do was keep redirecting the text at hanging out with her. It came off a bit needy, you seemed as if you had nothing better to do. Which you didn't lol. Once you mentioned hanging out she agreed. Then you kept pressing. You should of changed the subject for a few more text and then asked for the address. Notice she asked you (shit test) " are you gonna drive all the way here?" in other girl lingo ( are you really that bored, and Wat are your intentions) Also, there's was not much attraction being bulit up here, you were coming friendly. You should text girls as if you've been banging them for the past year. One thing I do now is always setup 2-3 dates everytime I wanna see a girl. They never flake, I'm the one flaking on two of em. That way you never seem needy because you honestly have other girls to hang wit. Try an send out text to 3 girls everytime you text

agree with Fuze and I would add this: after you asked her to play mario kart and she agrees or whatever, you STOP asking about anything regarding what you just said. so u continue bantering blablabl and then end it. shes left wondering wtf is going on and this is where you want to keep her. soon she will b asking you ' soooo when are we gonna do that mario kart date?' beacuse you never brough it up again and now shes doubting if shes good enough for you or not. always keep them bitches on their toes

Maybe it's just my style, but this conversation seems like one big opportunity to bust on her. She spends most of it whining about how tired she is or saying things that just make her sound lazy. Rag on her for it. "Wow. If excitement were an Olympic sport, you'd win the fucking gold." "I get it. Please don't stand up. You may pull something. " "Aww. You're so cute when you're being lame." You get the idea.

You lacked confidence man. You were too indirect and pussyfooting Your attempt at not trying to display interest is utterly failing. When you say "I have nothing to do today. I want to do something" you are expressing interest Everytime you haphazardly asked her to play Mario Cart she played you. In the end you showed way too much interest in hanging out w. her What I would have done, "Oh I have a day off from saving the world today. Get out of your jammys, put something cute on. Let's have a picnic at Applebees. I'll pick you up at 4. What's the address?" Straight to the point, intentions are clear. If she gives you some bullshit about getting out of bed then say ok no probs. maybe next time forget her... if she wants to hang out and watch the rain fall all day on her day off she can't be too interested. Instead of coming off as a wimp, you should've said to her that she can't beat you... that your Toadstool could leave her Princess in the dust. Portray yourself as the best goddamn Mario Kart player in the world, even if you're not. If she took the bait and agreed to hang out, then you could've challenged her more by betting with her. Telling her you're already on your way, without even some hint that she wants you there is untoward and too forward.
