Has anyone seen the new planet of the apes movie? I saw it twice and the film really focuses in on the social dynamics of ape and ape and ape and human. The main character (Caesar the ape) does an excellent job of displaying to us how to be alpha. If you watch the film you notice the facial expressions of Caesar, eye contact, the willingness to fight and protect, as well as love. I won't talk too much about it as I don't want to spoil it but did anyone else draw anything from this film? |

I wonder if maybe you are on to the next PUA trend here. Studying animals with natural Alpha male tenancies to fine tune your own... I think I may have to give about an hour of my time to researching this and then report back later... it could be crap, but it could be genius too.

You can base the whole PUA concept on the a herd of lions. |

It's a pride of lions...lol You'll need a whole bunch of disclaimers cause male lions kill cubs when they take over a pride but I do like the whole concept where Male lions sleep all day and leave it up to the females to do all the hunting and bringing the food...lol |

Well I just saw the Rise of the Planet of the Apes, and I have to say, there really is something to take from it. Caesar, the leader of the apes, definitely has an alpha male attitude, complete authority, and does things without even looking for approval. And everyone follows him, and he's by far not the strongest. So yeah, it does relate to PUA quite nicely. |

Haven't seen the new POTA but older ones also show alpha apes. But hell, I don't know whether in English it's the same but tha's just a personification. In this case giving the apes character trades of humans. This resembles in no way how animal dynamics work. |
