Was hoping you guys may provide some perspective to me on this. This has been bothering me for a while. I have been told I am very attractive and it is rather embarrassing, as I am married and it has happened in front of my wife. I am pretty fit and around six feet tall. I am sometimes out with my kids and may run into some of their friends mothers. I have noticed that when I start chatting with some of the women, they will mention their husbands almost right away. Am I somehow giving out some vibe that I want to rip their clothes off and do them? I am usually just trying to make some conversation and be friendly. If I am giving off some vibe or something, I don't want rumors going around that I am some slime-bucket cheater looking to bang the wives of my neighbors. Since several of my wife's friends have recently gone through divorces, I am especially sensitive to this. |

Oh, you don't have to worry that much. Sometimes, people are too good looking for their own sake. Just be loyal to your beliefs and you'll be fine. Plus, you shouldn't really be affected by what people think of you. People just project their perceptions of us onto us, not who we are. |

I appreciate the feedback. I swear it makes me so uncomfortable when women seem to reflexively work in the word husband in the first sentence or two of speaking with them. My daughter doesn't have a ton of friends and I am some what of a Mr. Mom, so I really would like to become more friendly with them, so perhaps I could get a play-date or two scheduled for her. The last thing I want to project is that I want to sleep with you Mrs. Smith.
