Sleeping with the landlady
I live with this girl in her house, she's married but her husband told her 4 months ago that he wasn't sure what he wanted etc etc and she's been in limbo since!
A couple of days ago we had a little too much to drink, had a really fun night and ended up having sex all night. For some extra context there was lots of kissing, smiling, general happiness as well as some good ole' f'kin.
The next morning when we first woke up was the same....until just before we left for work I went to kiss her and she pulled away..I said I'd had fun, she said that she had too and I left for work.
That night we talked a little and she said that she didn't regret our night, had more fun than she ever had before but didn't want it to continue in the hope she could still salvage her marriage.

Now tonight we're going out to a comedy gig, my question is this:
Do I keep her laughing and flirting, touch her, keep the sexual talk going as if the game is still on OR do I give her the cold shoulder a bit and hope she realises what a gap there might be if I'm not around.

I do like her a lot, it'd be great if it worked out but if her marriage has a chance of working then I understand that she'd try and make it work...she still keeps making eye contact and smiling, looks away coyly and accepted hugs etc which I took to potentially mean she's just using me too.

Any thoughts and advice for both tonight and the days that follow would be most appreciated.

No. Nope. Naw. Nothing. Zilch. No f*cking way, dude. Warning : Danger ahead. Caution : This could be dangerous.

Well, that's all the ways in which I could have expressed my opinion.

Leave her be. It was a good time, leave it at that. She's married and she wants to salvage her marriage and you should respect that.

This is dangerous, be careful man, Karma is a bitch. That said: find another place to live, consider what happened between as nothing more than a one night thing, go back to normal and find a girl not married.

At least you're not a total douche and actually care about something like this which is a start but--- people end up dead for shit like this, thin ice man.

Thanks doer the replies, it's sound advice and I'll follow it. I should have clarified though, they are separated, he rents somewhere else. I have/had no intention of hurting a marriage, I just thought she was further along that road than it turned out.

Cheers again, sage advice

If, IF you really do like her, be there, be her friend (nothing more) and if the marriage falls, it wasn't because of you, and THEN you can try again.

This reminds me of a scene from The Grifters where Annette Bening gets fucked by her hideously obese landlord, just so she doesn't have to pay rent.

Read the excerpt...

While Roy's girlfriend Myra, played by an enchantingly devious Annette Bening, uses her alluring sex appeal to get what she wants, you know there is an even more sinister side to her character. Depicting an innocent and devoted lover, Myra, who's been playing the game a lot longer than anyone really knows, will try to manipulate Roy's feeble heart to her advantage. As Bening bring this love to hate character to life, Roy desperate to find love, might end up trusting the wrong person.

Is that what's going to happen if I indulge too much in the Game? I'll end up becoming desensitized fuck anyone my landlord just to make rent?

I feel so cheap now!

Maybe playing the Game is a lot like riding the Grift
