Do you ever lie about your job? I'm sure that there are a lot of nerds on this forum (no offense). I'm a programmer myself. And even though i do lot's of cool things like traveling and learning languages, playing guitar, going out, parties etc, i'm embarased when girls ask what i do.. I don't lie normaly, but i'm asking myself if it wouldn't be better. |

Well, they don't think haha what a nerd. It's more that they always seem a bit dissapointed. I know it's a great job, and i'm good at it too. But I just want to concentrate on other things.. It just seems that there are a lot of stereotypes that are connected to nerds. |

Women you initially meet dont care about you unless it applies to them. Knowing your a programmer is probably just white noise to them. Dont bore her with the details and you are good. |

awesome. I never talk about computers anyway (outside of work and school). And i have a pretty awesome life, besides girls, so thanks. Gives me more motivation again.

No I never lie about it- their eyes usually start to glaze over when I start to explain the details of what I do. I tell them I'm a programmer and constantly need to learn new things to keep up with the job and leave it at that. |

I tell them I'm a professional ass model, and then ask them if they would love to touch my firm ass. |

Associate to things they probably like, for example you could say "I'm a programmer", they say "what's that" or whatever generic response, and you say something like "I program computer stuff like facebook or youtube" If they say "OMG you work for Facebook", say "Maybe I do." with a small smile.
