Hey man, I have a very interesting question. Should I Tell girls that I am hearing Impaired? Situation - I am 22 years old, smart, stylish and have a thorough understanding of body language and picking up - I have gotten HEAPS of digits - I have hooked up with a few Girls - still a virgin Here is my Rationale for telling girls I’m hearing impaired: - By telling them that I am hearing impaired I am being true to myself and I am proud of who I am!! - To allow better communication (aka lip-reading) - To explain why I didn’t understand what they said (I mean if I keep saying “sorry I didn’t hear that??---I sound like a dickhead) - Often use it to kino ( yeah baby, I know sign language…caressing her throat while she talking to get better understand of what’s being said..etc) Here’s my Rationale for NOT telling girls that I am hearing impaired: - most girls are very superficial, and will INSTANTLY REJECT ME ( walk away) - I won’t Demonstrate Lower Value or at least their perception of undesirable characteristic - their PITY isn’t exactly the emotion im trying to invoke (them feeling sorry for me) - I can still lip-read them and give some bullshit reason like I am a spy…I was trained to do so - since most girls know my voice is abit weird, they usually think I have accent - prevent the guilt factor, possibility of them feeling they should give me their number because I’m hearing impaired or being ‘nice’ because I am hearing impaired or friend-zoned Most of the places that I hang out at are Nightclubs and are VERY loud (not good). I know if I started going to quieter places like Bars and lounges, I might have a way better chance at not having to tell the HB that I am hearing impaired and totally get away with it. I look forward to your ideas and answers! |

stop thinking about you, start thinking about her, and not what she thinks of you |

If they can't handle you, they don't deserve you. Don't lower yourself to their level. You don't have to introduce yourself and say "Hey I'm George, I'm hearing impaired," but be honest. |

I can totally relate to this. Something I normally use is: Her: Saying something I: No, i didn't want to say this but no! you can't just change the constitution by yourself! Her: What? I: (funny face letting her know it is a joke) I'm kidding, maybe you can change the constitution by yourself. her: wtf face I:"Well, I thought I was being cute and funny. But I guess I was just being cute." Isolate to a silent place |

I'd hate for you to think that something you totally cannot help is a "DLV", I'd like to think that value comes from within, from who you are. I'd suggest being completely upfront about it, and making a joke of it if possible, just to show that it's not a touchy subject for you, which is less likely to invoke "pity". I doubt it'll hurt you that much unless you're hung up on it. Women care about who you are, not those superficial things, or the ones that are worth your time do. |

There are girls that haven't heard this line yet? I'm surprised.Quote: the places that I hang out at are Nightclubs and are VERY loud (not good). Nightclubs shouldn't be a problem for you. Get a girl on the dance floor before even saying a word. Dance with her. Once you begin talking, lean in and talk into her ear. She will reciprocate, which would help you hear. If anything, you can say the music is too loud. If bars and lounges are a solution, then do that. I always doubt men who limit their approaches to only night time, but if you must, go to lounges. If you say it's easier at a more quiet place like a bar, then any other place during the day should also have a sufficient amount of decibels for you. |
