Post subject:  Waisted opportunity, or not?

There's this new girl at work I kinda got my eye on, actually, there are girls everywhere I got my eye on, but this one is one I've been REALLY wanting to approach. Opportunities however, are few and far between as she does not work in my area. She just hired on about a month ago, she is an "engineer", I wont say what kind. She seems fresh out of college. She's kinda short, 5'1'', or 5'2'' and has a little baby fat, but it's in all the right places. Plus, she's really friendly and affable, maybe a little shy.

I had spoken to her a couple weeks ago. She was in my area asking about the machines and what they do. I didnt say anything flirty, just kept it all buisness.

But this morning, walking into work from the parking lot, there she was standing alone. Looked like she was waiting for somebody, though of course, it didnt cross my mind to ask her about it. There was nobody around us for probably 100ft. radius! It was as if God, or fate or the Universe - whatever you want to call it, handed her to me on a silver platter and said "Here you go! Let's see what you do with it"

And..... I squandered it.

Well, here's what I did manage to do; I walked up to her and said "Your name is XXXX right?" Her: "Yeah" Me: "Good Morning!" Then she said: "Oh! Good morning!" She said that with a little more enthusiasm than was required, leading me to think that maybe she was saying that to encourage me to start a conversation with her. Either that or she really was having an incredible morning. But all I could do was smile and walk away. It was just too early in the morning for me. I didnt have my coffee yet - my brain couldnt kick into PUA gear. Of course, as soon as I got 20 steps away, 20 different ideas came to mind as to what to say to her.

But maybe it wasnt a total loss, now I'm thinking that maybe it's actually better I left her hanging like that. If I can get her to think I'm a good, friendly guy before I ask her # or whatever, then she'll be that much more open to me next time we talk, assuming she remembers me, that is.

Opinions?

Haha funny article how God spoon feeds you this girl and you talk to it. :P

Anyways i think you've done nothing wrong but create a little repour. There will be other times where you'll be able to talk to her. Don't over analyze but make sure the next time you talk to her you knock it out of the park before someone like me does before you. :)

I know from experience "new hot girl at work" is fresh meat usually to other guys haha.

While I don't recommend professional romances to anyone because of the consequences in the case they go bad, you didn't do anything wrong.

If anything, this might work in your favor. Now, she'd categorize you as the guy who not that interested, assuming other guys have been taking their chances. She'll lean a bit more towards you than them.

Next time, take a minute to think and then approach her. Good Luck.
