Called her a week ago.. forgot to call her back. She texts me out of the blue.


Her at 7AM: Hey! I have been really busy at work. How are you?

Me: at 10AM Hey I'm good how've you been? Cool what do you do for work?

7 hours later..

Her: I am good. Just got off work. I do mainly research on the carbon market. You?

Me: You mean cap and trade?

Her: Not really. It's more CDMs and REDD projects. Are u familiar with those acronyms?

Me: Nah I'm not really involved with that stuff, just heard a bit on it at school
It's good we need more people to save the planet :)

20 mins later..

Oh yeah Im currently working on a start up company for sports supplements, do you do any kind of exercise/yoga?

Her: Yep. I work out. I go jogging most of the time

Me: Nice, I usually lift weights, so I made a supplement that gives people more energy to workout when they're tired, it's called XXXXX
Have you ever tried any of those energy drinks or shots before working out?

Her: Nop..

Me: Since you're a smart girl I have an assignment for you to do; go on XXXX, press like, then check out XXXX and send me a paper on what you think

Her:A paper?..
I can tell you my opinion...

Me: No I'll take hard copy 2 pages double spaced, I'll meet you for coffee next week to pick it up

Her: Ok...

You basically turned it from a casual chat to something along the lines of 'I am your teacher. Bring your assignment to class tomorrow'.

She's career focused. Yes, she is.

However, she WANTS to have her fun too. She doesn't want to be bored to death of writing reports and doing analysis all the time.

Her last reply suggested how big of a train wreck it was.

i suggest you start calling her, instead of texting
meeting in person > calling> texting > emailing > no contact
