Post subject:  TEXTING: Starts out positive, Ends up WTF?
So texts with this girl, HB8, started out pretty good. If I didn't answer her right away, she'd re-send her text 10 or 15 minutes later. I met her on Facebook, and she was really set on meeting me.

She lives up north where my folks are, so I figured it'd be a sure thing when I came to visit a few days ago. I tried setting up plans 2 days ago, but she kept saying she was busy. So I told her I'd text her the next day and purposely didn't.

I texted her last night and got no response, so I texted her today and here's what happened:


ME: That's so cute :)
HER: ??
ME: You playing hard to get
ME: :)
HER: Hard to get? (apparently she's not too bright)
ME: Nevermind. I'm at the store lookin at yogurt. What kind do you think I should get?
HER: Yoplait haha, who is this again? (I figure she does this b/c she's butthurt I didn't text her when I said I would.... doesn't match up with her interest in me beforehand)
ME: Lol. You're gonna have to guess
HER: Oh fun! K bye :) have a good one!

And I haven't responded.

All I can say is..... wtf? Input is appreciated b/c I'm really confused.

tons of mistakes.

1. first of all, you called her out on "playing hard to get" (which shows that you noticed and that - on some level - it affected you) - AFC

2. second of all, when she played along by saying "hard to get?", you responded with "nevermind", which was like shooting her down. you should have played along. the word "nevermind" carries a very negative connotation and feeling to it. - AFC

3. third of all, i counted three smilies and one "lol" in that brief conversation, that's always a no-no.

4. fourth of all, you didn't text her when you said you would. that's not the same as just dropping off for awhile and going incommunicado, you actually made a commitment and didn't hold to it. that's ... not a good thing. - YOU flaked.

basically, you fucked up royally.

might be salvageable though.

Do you realise something? Every time you tried to make plans with her you got the "I'm busy" from her end?

That must tell you something. And it's not a good thing.
