| Post subject: | "The Truth About Pick Up" |
I'm a PUA in training. I've studied theory for hundreds of hours. Spent about $2000 on materials. Even more money driving around to sarge, getting new clothing, and etc. I've forced myself to open dozens and dozens of sets. There has been a lot of investment on my part. This is an experience that most of you can relate to! I'm not about to say anything stupid like "Pickup doesn't work". In fact, the materials and teachings work, and they can work quite well when used by the right person. As noted by Style/Strauss in "The Game" it's easy for game to take over your life. Right now it's my primary passion. I've made all kinds of moral and ethical compromises. Half a year ago, there was no way I would ever drink, smoke, go clubbing, or actively pursue women with boyfriends. Even my taste in music and the clothes in my closet are different. Basically, I've changed a lot. I'm not who I was. Is this an improvement? In some ways, I know I've improved as a person. And in others, I am ashamed of myself. I just stumbled upon this video on Youtube called "The Truth About Pickup" published by a user named "OGFurious". It reminded me of the core perspective that will help us to preserve our own values and keep us all sane when learning this stuff. It sure did help me. (I'm not promoting the video or anything, it is an old video which has 70,000 hits and isn't selling anything) |
