Post subject:  Questions about PUA books

Hey,

So, I'm extremely new to this whole thing, and I figured reading some books about PUAs would be a good start. A while ago, I bought a bunch of books by various authors, including both of Style's ("The Game" and "Rules of the Game"), both of Mystery's ("The Mystery Method" and "The Pickup Artist"), "The Layguide", "Undercover Sex Symbols", and Askmen's "From the Bar to the Bedroom". However, I had a crapload of other stuff on my plate, so I could only finish half of "The Game".

I also just received an Amazon gift card, so that will probably be going towards Ross Jeffries 2 books. Is one book better than the other? Or do both books provide sufficient learning material?

Can anybody give me some suggestions as to what books worked well for them? Are there any books on my list up above that are just complete crap, and I would be wasting my time if I tried to read? Are there any books that I am missing? Whats the better book; Mystery's "The Pickup Artist" or Mystery's "The Mystery Method?

I see this question posted every five minutes on this forum, but I figure I may as well just get a clear answer on it while I am posting something:

As I mentioned, I am new to the PUA community. Where do I begin? Is there an online free course or something that I can follow? Much like joining a gym, I would feel the most comfortable following a specific set of directions given to me by a professional that would ultimately lead to my goal. Is Neil Strauss's 30 day challenge in "Rules of the Game" helpful at all?

NOTE : I have been told by other members before that the best way to learn is to put away the books and go out everyday talking to women. While I realize that this may be true, I enjoy learning about PUA stuff by reading, and then putting what I've learned to use in real life situations.

Ditto. I'd love to hear more about this from other members.

My personal experience is that:

- MM helps you by giving you tools you can use immediately in practise. It also gives you practical tips to game girls;

- 60 years helps you to get over your AA and improve your inner game.

In the end, reading is good, but you have to put theory in practise! Otherwise it is just a good book you have read, and not the life change you should experience!

I think the Mystery Method is more worth the read, although they contain a lot of the same material...I'd personally recommend that you pick up David DeAngelos "Double your Dating" - I think its on 2nd edition now. By far the greatest book I ever read on inner game and understanding women. If you could only read 2 books, I would say finish the game and read double your dating, then if you have time, move on to another gurus stuff...I am just now starting on 60 years and intro to NLP, but I skimmed Magic Bullets and will add it next in the thurough read line...I have not touched anything from Jeffries yet.

Good luck!
