A girl I've been friend with for a while has been giving me IOIs, like she hugs me, puts her hand around my shoulder, goes out of her way to see me etc...and I was a stupid prick and never returned her IOIs. She still uses hearts and ily in her texts so I decided to step it up a notch and begin giving her hugs and what not but now shes distancing herself. So what did I do wrong? |

Maybe she was just being friendly? She saw you as a good friend? Or she's just surprised by your sudden show of affection and is uncomfortable about what to make of it. Either way, take it down a notch. |

What you did wrong? You showed her you are genderless. You bullshitted yourself. Hugs? first of all, if you have to strategize a hug, it's always going to be lame and awkward. So what did I do wrong? For this girl, just let her see you looking irritated, then freeze her out. she will eventually ask you what's wrong. Then, just do some reverse push/pull game.
