Post subject:  Help! I'm not sure what this signal means

Hello All! This is my first post after joining the forum.

I have not been keeping up with the community for a few years after getting into a longer, though now ended, relationship. I've since had my "skills" tested, and I now find my self in a situation where I'm not quite sure whats going on, hope you can help!

In short, I've been flirting with a x-co worker (target) over the past two months. Though we've never worked in the same department directly, she did work with a female friend of mine who I have previously had a thing with. All though the friend and I never actually got anything going, we are very good friends today I've shown alot of higher value. I'm sure these actions will have been relayed to the target by the friend, which must be considered highly positive and I started out with a lot of plus points.

At a party, I got a chance to build attraction with the co-worker (target) which ended in her comming on to me hard. I've been playing it pretty cool over the last month but after carefully probing the waters through our friend, I asked the target out on a date by text, though I of obvious reasons refrained from talking about the target directly. I've now have quite a better living standard since my last job and chose to invite her to a really nice place

I got a positive response a few days later by text, that she thought it sounded great but wasnt able to go on the day i specified, however she would "be ready soon" and that she instead would cook me dinner at her place.

I've been to her place before through our friend

This is what it's come to now, and this is where I feel pretty clueless. Not so much on how to proceed, theres a few good posts on this forum about this to, kino, keep close, kiss on the neck etc. If anyone have any good advice on this however, I would be happy to hear them!

However, I feel like I'm playing a part of the game I'm not familiar with, why does she change the scene? Does she now want to show her cooking skills, does she not want to owe me anything? Why not just take the restaurant then head to her place, or leave the cooking for a date 2?

I hope some of you experts can help me out!

Stop analyzing everything.

Sometimes, things are what they are. There's no deeper meaning.

Go to her place. Have whatever she's cooked for you. Will probably save your date money too.

Also, the familiar surroundings will make her comfortable. Hence, you can make your moves.
