The first book I ever read on PU was The Layguide by Tony Clink, and every time I look back on it, I realize it was an excellent book to start out with. It covers a pretty wide range of topics, explains it easy enough even for complete AFCs, and introduces other resources that you can bounce to as well.

"The Physical Game" By Ozzie (of RSD)

or

"The 4 elements of game" by Rob Judge

Both are great.

60s stuff is a great choice after either of those.

I need to read the Layguide - i've heard a lot of good things about this. I am currently reading the "Game" and it reads like a story as opposed to an instructional text book and is therfore very easy to read and get into.
