She goes out of her way to see me. Casually says I love you, give me hugs and what not. I was going to tell her I like her but she had to bring up her ex and then she got bummed out so I decided it wasn't the time to tell her I like her more than a friend. Instead I said not to worry about her ex and I like her just the way she is.

So what should I do from now to tell her I'm serious about her?

talk to her a bit, standards qualify, if she responds good to qualification, give her a genuine compliment about it, for example, after talking to a girl for a bit lets say i establish a commonality with her and we find a topic that we both seem to enjoy talking about lets say its psychology, and i ask do you really like psychology, she says yes i love psychology, so then i go, that is so awesome, its cool that i have met someone that shares my interests (this seems a bit robotic i would just say something along these lines not exactly just let it come from an honest place in your heart), then the qualifications get bigger, talk a bit more, maybe say what special qualities do you have that would make me want to get to know you better?, she answers this question, and starts listing qualitys, then you should probably try to kiss her or drop some very heavy interest such as omg your amazing i think im falling for you, i would love to date you etc, w/e you want or are comfortable with or think feels right, next you can escalate the mood further, talk about sex, usually talking about relationships in general can escalate to this but avoid letting her talk about boyfriends/bad relationships, seriously just directly say, how about in general i don't really wanna hear about other guys specifically you have been with (she will understand also say it how you want don't use my exact wording this sounds robotic) next start talking about sex maybe drop a non judgemental frame about how you think sluts don't exist double standard etc. girls just go for guys they think are good, and some guys don't see this then start to judge them for it and it is rediculous etc. not fair how guys can do what they want but not girls, then maybe try to sexually qualify her, what is her fav position, does she spit swallow, where she likes to be kissed on her body etc, if she sexually qualifys her self to you, you better ask her to come to your house or try to kiss her, or drop A FUCKING SHIT TON of interest, anyway that would be my suggestion everyone has their own methods

Shit. That should not have been said.

Now, in her mind, you're a ''friend zone'' special member.

She might cry on your shoulder, eat ice cream with you, watch chick flicks with you blah blah blah.

Freeze her out. Reset this status quo ASAP.

I agree with Don Draper here, you have clearly been friendzoned, so you need time appart from her! After a good while you may contact her again, but it should be long enough so that you've had time to "change". When you get in touch with her again, you can begin gaming her!
