Post subject:  flaky # closes
Ive been in the field a lot recently and ive been noticing that a high percentage of # closes that I get within 5 minutes are flaky. I dont really run much game on them, no ruitines or anything. Its ussually just me opening them with a situational opener, showing her my bubbly personality, making 3 or 4 jokes and leaving with a phone #. I text imidiately after closing ussually as an afterthought to something that we where talking about earlier. Most the time they respond to this first text. Its afterwards that they just stop answering my text. I know im running game on them with good body language, tonality, expressiveness etc (ive been a salesman my whole life so comunicating with people comes naturally to me) Its just begining to baffle me that Im having so much trouble getting a solid # withing a 5 minute set. Thoughts?

You're probably coming across as a fun guy who brings them a temporary high, so they are still thinking about you as you send them a text. But you haven't built much comfort, so they aren't sure whether they really trust you enough to go out with you.

If you're getting good with this style, try to ask out for an immediate mini-date at a close-by coffee house, or even set up something for a time within the next day or so.

Or just add some comfort building to your routines. :wink:

lmao, its so obvious, I cant believe I havnt thought of that. I will field test it and let you know how it works out. Thank you.

the longer time you spend with the girl, the success of it being good is higher. A 5 minute number close don't mean crap.

try dropping a specific time and date to meet up again, also you should field test dropping more intention, if you just go up, start a random conversation and never show any interest in her, then get her number how do you think she feels? even indirect using MM you should go A3 and seek C1 if your looking for less flaky numbers going indirect, you should try direct, more blowouts but the results are more favourable if you don't mind dealing with the asd/rejections

If you're a salesman, you probably know about the value of spending time with a client.

I haven't heard of business deals being closed out successfully in under 5 minutes. Apply the rules to pick-up. You will have a bigger success rate.

Lesser numbers, sure. But, lesser flakes too.

I agree with all the posters so far.

This used to happen to me when I first started out.

Rushing for the # closes will only lead to flakes or fake #'s.

I agree with everyone above. If youre successful with a 5 minute number close, why not give it another 5 minutes to build rapport and comfort?

Not only will the girl be thinking you're a fun guy, but you're also interesting enough for them to be comfortable around you. The perfect setup for a date.

The 5 minute # closes are not the only ones I have. I constantly open sets and there are situations (when someone is shopping with their mother, someone is sweeping the floor at a resteraunt they work at, someone is doing a tasting at a liquor store etc) these are the situations im talking about. The #'s are obviously less flaky when I run a set for 20-30 minutes but im trying to improve my game so that I can get solid # closes in a quick in and out type of set. Its tough, you dont have time to false disqualify, display value, wait for ioi's, bait her, return her ioi's, and establish comfort in a short 3 minute set.

seriously make sure to time bridge, don't ask for a phone number, give a girl something to do with you, drop a time and a place to do something and see if she is interested, then just ask how should i get ahold of you, if she offers anything besides a phone number then she is just politely brushing you off and you need to establish more attraction/comfort (qualification should let you know where you are at) hope that helps (just elaborating on my above post)

i once got an email instead of a phone # with good emotional connection, and the girl wanted to hook up the next time we met. if she gives an email and not a phone #, it depends on her email reply whether it's her brushing you off.. but you are right, i asked for a phone # and the girl gave me her fb, ended up she was brushing me off.
