Hi man.

What is the topic you get stuck on? When stuck, start asking them questions, things you want to know, like: how was your day today, what have you been up to lately? You can get shitty answers, like: not much, but keep on asking. Really? Not much? Have you done absolutely nothing then? then you can say: i recently did (something here) and it felt good, awkward, stupid, amazing... Mix your own stories and experiences with what they tell you.

cheers!

Np amigo.

The point in conversations is getting feedback. But people are used to others not really being interested, who take shit for an answer. Sometimes though, you will encounter people that really have nothing to say. If silence is persistent from the other side, think to yourself: BORING, and walk away, even though she is a lingerie model.

Sometimes you will get people who will say: you are kinda nosy, arent you? or none of your business. Dont apologize, just say: hey, i am just interested.

cheers!

just interject with
did you ever notice (insert new topic)
have you ever woundered why (insert topic here)
what do you think of (insert topic here)
don't hold to much weight on what your saying/talking about, just try to be in a good mood or a mood that is appropriate, what you are sub-communicating is more important then what is actually being said

An important thing to do when you're on one particular topic is to feign interest. (Or even better, learn to take real interest) Ask questions. Make them elaborate on what their talking about and build on what they're saying. Dont be afraid to voice opinions either. Alot of times getting them to talk about themselves, you'll naturally find something to pick from the conversation and talk about that. Something that interests you both.

I used to have the same problem too and I found out that my biggest problem was that I was too agreeable. When someone made a statement, I would never question it or even elaborate on it with my own opinions. The person you're talking to either perceives that as you not really giving a shit about the conversation or just...boring. This is especially important to do with women. Too agreeable and passive comes off as weak.

When I was learning to become a more sociable person, I had a concept in my mind that I always needed to have the perfect opening line to start interacting with others. I was waaaaay overthinking it and when it came to the time I had to talk, I couldn't even think. I had totally overloaded myself and the other dude would stare and just go wtf...

- Share similar experiences. If you're talking to a woman at the movies....ask her what she's seeing. How she liked/hated the movie. Easy. You're in.

I'll add to this shit later, it's late as hell over here.

Agree with solteris, except on the point of feigning interest.

Real interest is better, fake interest shows, as you fake the things you would do when you would be truly interested, but your mind isnt paying attention. Just a random question might already reveal your desinterest. That would be bad.

for the rest: I dont think that those 'magic bullets' are really that magic. To me, they seem like lame tricks, things you would say if you truly have no idea on how to be funny. I would not recommend those.

Cheers

"A poor conversationalist talks about himself, a good conversationalist listens, and a great conversationalist talks about the other person."

Or as I always like to say: the more she talks the better, because anything she says can and will be used "against" her (to tease her with, disapprove of, follow-up on, be indifferent about etc.)

Conversations aren't about you dude. Hell, not even about what you say. It's how you respond to what she says. Think about it.

all of the previous posters most likely answered you question about how to change the topic and how to keep the conversation going.. and i agree with what they are telling you..

if i can change the subject on you for a little bit, i'd like to propose something else that can help you with the problem of changing the topic.. and it has to deal with confidence and being alpha..

a conversation follows the pattern of someone talking and someone listening. Someone is directing the convo while the other follows.

if you're an alpha male and confident (which pretty much are the same thing), the conversation is in your hands. you direct the conversation wherever you want to and she'll follow you. Your Alpha side will allow you to make any statement/opinion/observation/whatever.. and your Confident side will reassure you that whatever you said is fine for this conversation.

im not saying that you be a 'DICTATOR'.. dictating that the conversation go "this way or that way".. but controlling the flow of it..

if you controll the flow of the convo.. you can direct it in any way that you want.. for example, you can make the conversation SEXUAL!! and who wouldn't what that kind of convo with a HB?

You should only read sections at a time depending on the sticking point you are working on. The only part i like about magic bullets is the transition section, all the other sections are not my style.

They are conversational crutches. Like they are saying, you should be more alpha. However, being alpha comes from experience. And crutches like these encourage newbies to gain more experience. Dont be afraid to use crutches, use them till you are ready, but make sure to go freestyle from time to time to get the feel of it.

Important pointers.
1. Listen dont think - it shows in your face it shows in your body language and it shows in your response. Energy also suffers. You need to listen while having a set routine that is why you practice your routines so you stack them automatically without having to shift your focus from interacting with the set.

2. Banter - dont be so stiff with your routines. Routines are just important checkpoints. Just like sex you take your clothes off before you fuck but its up to the mood to determine what happenes in between.
