Would you feel any less fear, if you wouldn't know of the term approach anxiety / approach fear /... ??? (cause of the placebo effect right) |

no because I already had AA before getting into pick up, I just didn't know what it was. |

I define that fear as fear of approaching girls, but what i really want to know is if knowing that this fear is called Approach Anxiety adds to your nervousness when approaching girls. |

I think defining it lets you overcome it. With any sort of fear or mental block, it's there, and you won't even know it's there until someone points it out to you. Having that AA term there allows you to concretely define the fear, and thus be able to smash through it. |

I typically am either in one of two modes. Insta-balls or AFC excuses. If I don't immediately approach before I have a chance to think about it or formulate some kind of stupid game plan I have a bad habit of talking myself out of it. Insta-balls always seems to work for me, when I have them. Even when it doesn't turn out well, I'm still up for feeling ballsy in the first place and it tends to have a cumulative effect. |

What's the worst that can happen? Rejection, their loss. Over thinking will only ever tie you in knots. I'm guilty of doing the same thing at times. Lucky, after a few beers I seem to relax and just go for it. As long as I'm not to drunk that I can concentrate on my game it's all good. You just need to find what works best for you. |

I think its Wayne Gretzkey (might be misspelled sorry) that has a great quote "You miss 100% of the shots you dont take." Once I heard this, I just took every shot and I am relatively successful 9 out of every 10 times. This is all supposed to be fun right? |
