| Post subject: | Says She Never Thinks About Me. Reverse Psychology? |
Me and this girl have been texting lately and she said she went to a golf course so I asked her if it reminded her of me (I text her sometimes when I play). She said no not really and that she never thinks of me. I just replied yeah it would be pretty weird if you did think of me a lot. The thing is though why would a girl say she never thinks about me. I find it kind of weird being honest. If anyone has done psychology or have had experiences with this before can they tell me if this is a signal a girl does in fact think about me a lot. I know she likes me that's the funny thing. |

Shit test! Don't give it any more thought - she tried to nullify your comment about reminding her of youto see how you'd react

There could be a lot of reasons for a comment like that. Maybe she does think about you a lot and she's trying not to sound needy, who knows. It's more likely that she just wanted to see how you'd react to that kind of comment though, and in my opinion you failed hard... it's not weird if she thinks about you, why would you say that? You just made yourself look insecure. Or maybe, just maybe she's not into you and she's being rude intentionally so you get the hint lol... whatever the situation is, it doesn't matter, you didn't handle it properly in any case. Stop worrying about what she might think, how she might react, and just say what you want. What you replied with, you weren't really thinking that... at least I hope not, cos in that case your attitude needs some serious work. Focus on going after what you want, keep a positive attitude and always assume the best in situations. You can't go wrong. |

How can I have possibly 'failed hard' from that comment!?Or maybe, just maybe she's not into you and she's being rude intentionally so you get the hint lol... whatever the situation is, it doesn't matter, you didn't handle it properly in any case. The only way I could have 'failed hard' is if I would have went 'Oh what I think about you all the time, that's so unfair'. By stating that I don't really care whether she thinks about me or not without actually saying it, i'm projecting myself as non needy. How can being non needy mean I fail!? |

I'm just telling you what I think. Girl says to you, "no not really, I don't really think about you" And you reply with "Yeah it'd be pretty weird if you did think of me a lot". You're too passive. By agreeing with her in this case, you sound insecure. Not saying you have to be really cocky and full of yourself or anything but you could've handled it better. The message you sent basically came across as "I'm not surprised, why would a girl be thinking about me?". That's no good! If a girl sent that to me, I woulda turned it sexual... "not even in the shower? O_O". Or made her feel guilty and see if she'd apologise, ie. "you sure know how to make a man feel wanted On the other hand, I wouldn't be asking if she was thinking about me in the first place. I'm not interested, I just assume she likes me and if she doesn't then it'll be pretty clear within a few texts. How long have you been texting this girl by the way? |

haha That shower bit was funny. Suppose I could have made it funnier but every time I turn the convo sexual she always brings it up. You're going to probably dig into me for this but she has been a long fuse I've been working on when she's been doing her exams and talking to her .... sigh (5 weeks). I've called her once but she didn't answer. I've called her out on this and said if she wants to see me she's going to have to make a bit more effort, probably bad on my part but wanted to see where I standed. Tonight i'm going to call her again to see how far I get and go for the date. If she doesn't pick up them i'm going to have to call it a day and move on, even though I wouldn't mind just being her friend.

asking a girl if something "makes her think of you" is just needy in the first place. it reeks of validation-seeking... |

Well last time she argued that I cancelled because when I went for the date I told her I couldn't come the night before, even though she didn't confirm she was coming.lol this whole situation is epic fail. Quote: asking a girl if something "makes her think of you" is just needy in the first place.
Seriously It was meant as a joke not an actual omg please tell me you're thinking of me. it reeks of validation-seeking... Instead of saying how this situation is bad why don't you offer constructive advice into the situation? You know I come on this forum for some advice from like minded people and all I get is some criticism on one thing that you don't agree with, even though you don't know what context I meant it in. |

so, the girl likes to argue and just be a general bitch. sweet. also, behind every "joke" about "does a golf course make you think of me" is an underlying meta-message of neediness. jus' sayin'. ps - jokes are funny. so one doesn't have to announce "this is a joke". if one has to announce "this is a joke", then it's not a joke, or at least not a funny one. something to think about. seriously not trying to bust your balls. |

Fair enough maybe just a poor joke. However she does like to tease me and sorta be a bitch but I just think that's part of the seduction process. As long as she comes out for a drink it's all gravy really. Are there any last things I should be doing. She said she will drink me under the table as in challenge me to drinking but say maybe to the venue. Seriously don't understand this girl!
