Ok, first of all, it's fucking hard! But here's the thing, after doing Day 1 and 2, which is to approach strangers and have a small talk, I noticed that I am not getting AA or nervous. Calling a random number is freakin hard and I am thinking of skipping it, or just approach some strangers and get a movie recommendation. Should I just skip it since I'm not really experiencing AA?? |

Personally I'd take that Stylelife Challenge and toss it in the garbage. It's really silly. |

Quote: Ok, first of all, it's fucking hard! Haha the movie phone bit was one of my favourite parts, I got a real laugh out of it and it was really satisfying when I got it done. I can't remember how many people I called but don't remember it being that hard. But here's the thing, after doing Day 1 and 2, which is to approach strangers and have a small talk, I noticed that I am not getting AA or nervous. I wouldn't skip it. When I was doing the lifestyle challenge I thought I'd cured my AA, but it was only temporary and it eventually came back, the idea of the book is to really make all this stuff habit. Skipping parts, bad idea, then you make skipping bits you don't like a habit. |

Getting out and making eye contact and saying hello and polite small talk face to face is a good and legitimate exercise. Calling complete strangers on the phone and asking stupid stuff is harrassment to the poeple on the other end of the phone and no real benifit to you IMHO. Instead of harrassing people on the phone I'd recomend just adding another day of getting out and talking to people face to face. |

It's a bit of an intro into sales. I don't think it's stupid at all, and the OP finding it hard is even more reason to do it.

Quoted from the book: Quote: "The point isn't just to talk to more strangers. It's to learn how to change the course of an interaction without making the other person feel uncomfortable. This skill will help you take control of conversations in real life and direct them toward the outcome you want."
IMO, I AM already making the other person uncomfortable..

Is a tough challenge, follow through with it. Is basically aimed towards increasing your inner game. What he makes you do within 30 days, is equal to probably a year worth of sarging expereince. Assuming your skills are really week. |
