Post subject:  What to say if you get "caught" being a pua?
I'm sure this has been asked dozens of times; apparently I need to improve my searching skills. But if you use some popular canned answers or do the same routine eg (palm reading) to one set and when you open the next with same palm reading and they call you out...How would you respond?

why even care .. just ignore the fact ... just tell her what it as and let her explain ... i always tell people why they are sayin these weird things....

im not pua .. im just a cool guy , i care about other people

why is that important? it only becomes an issue if you or she makes it an issue. if she mentions the game (the book) say something 'but he aint got nothing on me' jokingly, or if she mentions that a routine was from a book say 'someone ripped my routine off' again jokingly, just brush it off. the moment you start talkin about it theyll want to know more. or the more itll be an issue

That's like catching a woman wearing make up or having a boob job. We guys have learned to accept women manipulating themselves to make them more appealing to us and we should do the same about ourselves.

I don't think you should ignore this "challenge" that's thrown at you by a woman. Instead, just consider it to be yet another "shit test". Remember that she has no choice but to be attracted to you - it doesn't really matter that you're a PUA. Her knowing this isn't going to change her attraction to you. What does matter is how you react to it. If you draw out in your mind 'damn, she got me, disengage! disengage!' then that's exactly what's going to happen. Instead, think 'wow, that's a well read woman - here's another conversation topic for us'.

Besides, I might be wrong with this, but I see pick up as 80% inner game. Under these circumstances, any confident guy who attracts women should be "suspected" to be PU conditioned. It's your choice if you want to label yourself "pick up artist" or "a really cool, attractive guy".

AGREED! This is 100% a shit test, and you need to treat it as such. If you make it a big deal then she got you, if you don't then you're good.

As the above poster mentioned remember she is lying to you. Her eyes aren't that dark with that mascara, she's not that tall with those heels, her boobs are that perky without that push up bra, etc. Women have being doing things to improve their chances to attract men for thousands of years...so what if you decided to improve your mind instead of your physical appearance.

Ditto this. If you are studying pickup, then you aren't changing you who are, fundamentally. You're simply gaining social intelligence.

It's just like studying anything else in life. If you memorize the text, you missed out. If you thought about it, understand the meaning, and then apply it with your individuality, you got it down!

Guys... I don't agree with you. Lets face it - using canned material is lame. Lame, lame, lame. And I do it all the time. We are all reformed nerds trying to learn a skill we should have developed years ago naturally but we didn't. We're using canned material to make things easier for us with a clear intention to one day "drop" the canned material and be completely natural. What is NOT lame is being able to admit all of this and still go with it and say "screw the world" I'm going to nail this skill and I don't care what it takes, I don't care being rejected 1000 times, and I don't care using canned material for a while (even that it's lame) as training wheels.

And now... I'm going to memorize some new lines ;-)

P.S - this is just my personal opinion. If you don't agree with me, I'm fine with it, I'm not going to argue with anyone.

As I said: Most of the game is inner game. Canned material isn't going to help you if you genuinely don't believe in yourself. What canned material does is to make YOU feel better and confident with yourself rather than have any effect on the woman. So it really is just a pragmatic pre-constructed form of inner game - practice.

The OP didn't talk about people who get caught using canned material. In fact, there's no such thing as a guy who isn't aware of "pickup lines" or "dating techniques" of some sort. I am positive that what he meant is getting caught using specific and repetetive techniques that the big pick up gurus out there suggested to use. That's like "catching" a woman using a popular fragrance (and boy, how many times have I come accross that Victoria Secret).

I think there's lots to learn from masters who invent their own techniques and methods. But in the end you're going to have to behave in a way that you're most comfortable with and be perfectly aligned and at-ease with the things you do.
