| Post subject: | buying a drink-question of protocol |
I may be meeting someone at a bar soon for a date. I wont go into details but heres my question. I know its not good to buy a girl a drink, but since im meeting someone for the frist time, do I get exemption for trying to make a good impression? I mean i cant buy myself a drink and tell her to get her own. if someone can give me some tips on protocol id appreciate it. |

I think you don't have to tell her to buy her own drink. If you just buy yours, she'll probably do the same! |

If you have set up a meet, in my book its acceptable to buy her a drink, you have invited her out for a drink, get the first in, then let her get the rest, its courtesy. The drink protocol is only applicable for nights out |

Why should you not buy a girl a drink? On the first date you should be a gentleman and buy her a drink, especially if you invited her. IMO |

I agree with the above post. Personally, I think your reading too much into the PUA stuff. In my experience, is bad to buy girls drink if you don't know them. But if you guys are going out on date, is alright. You know her. Your building comfort with her know. |
