Basically, started out with a lot of attraction. She's answering my texts soon as she gets them.

HER: You can be my lil habibi (Farsi for "dear," or something)
ME: Hahaha. Idk if you can handle this :)
HER: What? Ur dick?
ME: Nobody said that. Get your mind out of the gutter, sweetheart :p
*bout 15 minutes pass without her replying*
ME: Tell me something interesting about yourself
HER: I was joking with u geez
ME: So was i, lol. Im just bein an ass :)


No reply since then, that was about 20 minutes ago. Apparently she got butthurt at my response to her dick comment, not sure why. Just going to freeze her out, but wondering if anyone has any other suggestions/insight as to wtf happened here.

That was pretty much a given, lol. But the conversation hadn't been explicitly sexual until she made the dick comment, and I saw it as a shit test. Like, most guys would prob jump on that comment and start dirty talking. So I light-negged her, and threw in a silly face to show I was just joking around. I guess she didn't like that, but I don't think it's bad enough to stop the conversation right there.

Well yeah I would have probably done the same thing as you did there. Keep it cocky funny (no pun intended) and see how it plays out. I don't see why she'd be upset over that.

Well, she still hasn't responded to that last text, and that was now over 2 hours ago. Not really sure what I can say at this point without DLVING myself for sending a 2nd text in a row without her responding.

Don't send another text. Wait for her to reply. Like you said, sending another just shows DLV. She's definitely gotten it by now, and read it already a long time ago. Don't believe any crap if she says "Oh sorry my phone was off" or whatever.

The only reason I can see for her not responding is that she's embarrassed. She either mistook what you were saying or chose to bring it down to that level (either way, she seemed comfortable with it) and you didn't respond to it in the way she wanted. She felt like she'd put herself out there and been rejected.
That's the only rationale I can see behind it and it seems congruent with her "I was just joking with you" text; she's embarrassed and so she's trying to pass it off as a joke, I know lots of women who do this. If she really had been joking, she wouldn't have taken offence at your comment.

I'd have responded the same way you did to the dick comment but I don't think you should have sent a second text saying "tell me something interesting about yourself" and I wouldn't have said "I'm just being an ass" either. I'd have probably sent a second text after her non-reply saying something along the lines of: "you know I was only teasing you, right?"
