Post subject:  Why Girls Like Jerks
“Do girls like jerks?” This is a question most of us ask ourselves when we see a hot girl dating a guy who is known to be a fuckin jerk. Well, unfortunately, the answer is “yes” they do. Girls do like jerks and most guys are dumbfounded by this fact, especially the Nice Guys.

So why is being a jerk is attractive to hot girls?

A few years ago, I asked myself the same question: “why do girls like jerks?” They're associated with all of the bad qualities of a guy. They're inconsiderate, mean, rude, selfish, and some aren't even that good looking. Even still, girls want to be with them. Not only that, girls are magnetically attracted to them. Weird right?

For me, it took years to understand why girls actually like jerks. But let me try to explain what I learned in years, what you can learn in minutes.

Basically, what attracts men to women is extremely different than what attracts women to men. Men, in general get turned on by a woman’s physical appearance. Besides the face, nice body, nice boobs, and nice butt are three things we look out for in particular. Women, on the other hand, do not get turned on exclusively by a man's physical appearance. Women get more turned on by how a man behaves. For most guys, this is the very reason why we have a hard time understanding why a girl would go for a jerk.

So, if you're asking yourself "Do I need to be a jerk for girls to like me?" The answer is "no." But you should at least have a better understanding of some of the core qualities that most jerks possess that girls do like:

1. Alpha Male
Women go for the Alpha Male of the group. The leader. The dominator. If you compare jerks to the Nice Guys, 9 out of 10 times, jerks will display more leadership and more dominance than Nice Guys.

2. Security
It's natural for a woman to want to feel secure at all times if possible. Naturally, women want to be protected and being with a jerk gives them the feeling of security. Yes, jerks may be mean and rude sometimes, but at least they won't back down when it comes to sticking up for the girl that they're with.

3. Confidence
Girls love confident guys and most jerks are confident, if not over-confident. Jerks talk and carry themselves in a way that screams “I own this place.” Girls do not want a guy who is unsure of himself.

4. Unpredictability
Jerks are unpredictable. Without even trying, jerks always keep a girl guessing. They do things to please themselves instead of to please the girl. Very counter-intuitive, yes, but this is what works with women.

5. Challenge
Most women like jerks because they present much more of a challenge than Nice Guys. Women want excitement. They want to be the one who, at the end of the day, "tames the tiger."

Now you should have a better understanding of why girls like jerks. Again, you don't have to be a jerk if you don't want to. But try to master these qualities so you can experience firsthand why these things work so well.

That bit's true, but being a jerk will still get yourself into more trouble than a nice guy; hereby not making the girl feel very secure at all. Other than that, I completely agree with everything else. A very solid post.

I partly agree:

girls don't like jerks in general, but they like men with DHV:

And DHV is:
- self confidence;
- plenty of options of girls (therefore he can afford to be a jerk/teasy>NEGS)
- leader of men, taking decisions (at least not a follower)
- modest, but succesfull;
- no braggers:

Girls don't like men who always ask their opinions, they want to be lead. And if you try to impress a girl, she will notice it immediately.

And DHV is something we all have, but sometimes we have problems with showing it.

An example:
when you go out and you see a good HB, your first thought is to approach her and talk to her. You already know what to say.
-> If you indeed approach her and tell her what you want to tell > DHV
-> if you wait with approaching, thinking how she probably would react, or what other people in the venue will think of you, thinking of rejection > DLV

Jerks only care about their own wants and needs. In other words they care about THEIR life and not women's. Girls are followers by biological nature, they want to be a part of GUYS life and follow him in it. Think about it, girls want guys who make decisions, create their own adventures, lead in every aspect. A girl biologically CRAVES to be by the side of a guy and follow him, in whatever it is, he wants for his life. A jerk supplies this follower position since he only cares about his life and not hers.

The entire OP sounds reminiscent of the world according to men with nice guy syndrome.

Yes, if you look at the bigger picture, girls ultimately do not like jerks, but they do still like more of the qualities that jerks have over "nice guys." So when compared to "nice guys" jerks win.

When I say bigger picture, I mean that there's usually another guy that has the qualities of a jerk and the smoothness of a player but without any of the negatives of both.

This guy is the ultimate guy and for lack of a better word, I'll just refer to him as a MAN. A MAN is innately attractive, a natural leader and doesn't have the immaturity of a jerk. If it were a toss up between being a "nice guy," jerk or a MAN, then be the MAN.

what does alpha mean ? ... being a jerk is just immature ... can you be confident, dominant and a - jerk - ? ... yes you can....

what is a alpha guy anyway ? a jerk who only takes value ?

alpha man is kind of a bullshit defenition.... mature man who know what he wants sounds better.

some girls do like jerks yes .. that is just because they don't love themselfs - too insecure. they just want a guy to have a very secure reality because they don't have that themselfs - a jerk is just a guy who overly confident - believes too much in his arrogant believes.

go to a museum .... go to a art gallery ... go to a seminar ... go and be a alpha - jerk there .. everyone will fucking reject you.
in clubs is allowed to be jerk .. most people who go to clubs are not good people in general , alot of guys only game on streets and clubs.

being a jerk doesn't get you anywhere in real life.. maybe in nightlife but not in real life .... you only end up with wrong friends , bad mindsets , arrogant behaviours and terrible situations.
a jerk is just a immature guy who wants other people to see him as a jerk , most guys do not realize they are assholes at all.
